Do Roach and Pacquiao have a case against Floyd Senile?

Floyd started his claim with "In my personal opinion". Well, how are "opinions" viewed by the court of law?

Opinion is a defense recognized in nearly every jurisdiction. If the allegedly defamatory assertion is an expression of opinion rather than a statement of fact, defamation claims usually cannot be brought because opinions are inherently not falsifiable. However, some jurisdictions decline to recognize any legal distinction between fact and opinion. The United States Supreme Court, in particular, has ruled that the First ********* does not require recognition of an opinion privilege.

Of course they do. Sr. was ****** enough to say on camera that he thinks Manny is a fraud and that roids are the reason he's been winning.

Good luck trying to explain that one away, especially with his record.

if some ****** made an allegation that Tiger Woods or Kobe or Tom Brady were on roids, whether it was just an opinion or not, there WILL be backlash...

and when you're dealing with high profile athletes that have LOTS of money, that backlash can come in a legal form.

Not only this, but the fact that Sr. is a known trainer his words can carry more weight, thus damaging Pac's rep more if people are ****** enough to believe him.

Thing is, Floyd Sr. isn't some random ******, he's a prominent figure in the world of boxing. That is one of the reasons they may have a case against him.

We're talking about Pac's sponsorships, deals, all the ***** he could lose because of defamation.

Public name #1 accuses public name #2 of doing something illegal. The accusation could be harmful to public name #2's image and career if allowed to spread. Therefore by public name #1's harmful accusations which have no basis in truth does public name #2 have a case.

Just like if Ring magazine wrote an article expressing the editor's opinion that Pac takes Steroids, without any hard evidence, they would be sued. Ring magazine is a public figure therefore its liable for whatever it says or prints. Same goes for Mayweather Sr.

Most people can get away with saying that any given sports star is on the juice because they aren't a reputable figure in the public eye. Unfortunately for Mayweather Sr, he is.
