All very good points. The implication though was that Ali rematched Frazier straightaway. We simply don't know what Ali would have done had the option to rematch Frazier immediately existed, so it seems a not very useful instance to drag into proceedings even as a benign comparison, let alone as supposed proof of how 'disgusting' Canelo is for musing publicy about his next steps one day after his last fight.

Yeah, after the fight Bivol said “maybe we do rematch at 168 for all of his belts?” And that would be the ultimate, following Canelo back down to his comfort zone and whooping him again

This weekend was the regressed version of Canelo who's become drunk with confidence in his power (God complex as someone else put it in another thread). You haven't been watching Canelo for very long if you genuinely don't think he's demonstrated elite skill and IQ in most of his other fights. Either that or you're just that angry old black dude trolling on white fighters as you say everybody else does about black ones.I’m convinced that’s the Canelo we get when he is not using “Mexican beef” or any PEDs. He looked EXACTLY how he did when he used to tire by late mid rounds and coast to 12. He was SPENT after the 7th round. That was the real Canelo in there last night. The one we have seen become a tank, a one punch ko artist all of a sudden has been sussedLast edited by NachoMan; 05-09-2022, 11:22 AM.Comment

I can understand that. Basically I’m saying that Bivol should only take the rematch under the most favorable terms. If that’s at 168 because he can easily make the weight then I’m all for it. Plus he would have the opportunity to become an undisputed champion as you said.
I was just looking at it in terms of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”Comment
