i think Bivol is all wrong for Canelo.I think any elite level LHW will be. He does not have the physical attributes to compete there against the elite. Joe Smith would be his best bet to win a championship there now. Unfortunately,I don't see Joe defeating Bieterbev. Maybe he lands a lucky punch, but most likely Bieterbev wins that one. The problem for Canelo is after last nights performance, fighters will be gunning for him. I won't say he was exposed, but his aura did lose some luster

A lot of Canelo haters here in the forum. The guys is trying to be great, taking tough challenges and people still giving him crap. You can never satisfied people. He fought champion after champion and still gets crap. The jealousy around here. Let Bivol fight the winner of Smith vs Bertervieb or even move up one weight class and fight a champion.

Hey Oldskoolg let me cook on this for a sec...this guy is not great at all. Great fighters have A B and C plans...canelo has only one style...move forward hit arm throw uppercut... NO ADJUSTMENTS!!! All his fans are crying talking about how he was so heroic to move up to 175 and should be praised for it...meanwhile a few years ago another guy at 168 was getting belittled because he wouldn't go up to 175 to fight the monster called kovalev... he did and he beat him once and then knocked his azz out the 2nd time... no one pampered him .. we held him accountable and he came through in the clutch... canelo was saying he was going to beat a LHW and then go beat Usyk but now we know that was a joke...but another all time great named RJJ won titles at MW SMW LHW and dare I say HW and he is a true great...just like PPVweather moved from 126-152 and fuqed eheboddy up!

Honestly his best move career wise is probably GGG 3. He presumably will do better in fight 2 than he did in fight 3, and he got the official win in fight 2. So if he does as well in fight 3, there is no way they don't give it to him, especially after he just had a decision loss to Bivol.

If he faces Bivol again, it's possible he loses worse than he did before, and that would be pretty damning for his career really. Fighting Charlo, Andrade or Benavidez are also options, the first 2 are better options than the last one imo. I think Canelo beats all 3 of those guys but David is probably the toughest of the 3 and could possibly hurt Canelo. Charlo could too I guess but a guy who struggled with Montiel ain't beating Canelo.

No one even asked Red Roider to fight Bivol. Go back to your current ideal weight class (168) and fight Benavidez(with no stipulations or funny business).

ClenMeat bit off one taco too many this time.

I respect Canelo more for taking on this challenge and it didn't work out for him. He was a man after the fight went over and congratulated Bivol and that was all there was to it. If there is anyone to blame for Canelo losing look at Eddy Reynoso. He is Canelo's trainer and its up to him to help Canelo get a better gameplan. He failed. Canelo didn't throw many jabs, cut off the ring and he kept loading up on punches. Canelo had issues in the past but who hasn't. He isn't perfect. Don't put the man down.

I agree with you on this. Give Canelo a break.

Difficult decision for canelo imo. If he really wants to maximise his chances at 175 he needs to spend an extended period of time walking about and training at the heavier weight. Dropping back down to 168 for Golovkin then trying to jump back for a Bivol rematch is not a good strategy.

I will go a step forward. Bivol beats him at 168 also. Bivol actually says he can make 168.

I will wager my wife, my house, and my satchels that he fights Golovs or someone similar in age next.
