Bivol embarrassed the likes of Callum Smith

All these other big dudes who fought like putas and ran from canelo all night never throwing a shot in anger.

Bivol used his boxing, but from round 1 he also planted his feet and blasted canelo back when canelo would fire off, pushing canelo back, as if to beat his chest "I am the big man here"

Great effort from him, did what you are supposed to do when you are the big man in there, not run away and let canelo lob full power at you for 12 rounds with zero fear of anything coming back except a sissy jab.

At 168 only Plant fought Canelo like a man. He was able to frustrate Canelo with his speed. Just he lacked power to do it more. When Canelo became completely frustrated, he just walked Plant down.

That's the thing, Bivol fought with belief which is something Smith didn't do. Smith was there for a payday, with a game plan to make it to the final bell. Saunders and Plant both had plans that they stuck to early on but fell apart as soon as Canelo made the necessary adjustments. I was saying to one of those 'I've never heard of Bivol before he signed to fight Canelo' guys that Bivol will be the first fighter since GGG that won't fight scared and/or fall apart at the first sign of adversity in the same way Saunders, Smith and Plant did.

It was frustrating watching Smith and Kovalev - the bigger and seemingly stronger, more powerful guys fight cautiously like the smaller guy moving up in weight. I knew that the first skilled bigger guy Canelo faces (that doesn't fight scared) will give Canelo a lot of problems.

callum smith is a slow walker that needs to set his feet to punch. he was too slow.

Bivol is a fleet footed boxer that doesn't need to set his feet to punch. they are 2 different levels.

Yep. All he had to do was trip over his feet and they would have called that a knock down and given Canelo at 10-8 round. Some do the math. Would that have given Canelo an UD based on how the fixed cards were setup?

Why do you need to include hypotheticals ?
              Biv gave up nothing
Didn't have to do anything special leading up to the fight.
              Is a lifetime LHW.

Chances of Biv moving up and chasing greatness ?

I watched the Saunders fight for the first time since I saw it live and he was close to even up with Alvarez until his orbital bone was broken(who knows how much he was down on the rigged scorecards) but he is a blown up middleweight and couldn't take PEDnelo's power when he was hit square on the face. Bivol faced harder punches in his title fights or in sparring.

Alvarez realized his limits and can only beat 175 pounders with expert cherry picks. In this case he started choking on the cherry pit and would choke to death on Usyk's cherry pick attempt.

Ginger looked unbeatable in the Smith fight. It was one of the greatest performances in SMW history. He also f**ked up Bivol's arm but Bivol responded with punch to his head.

I agree. My point was that Plant and Saunders had effective game plans that quickly fell-apart once Canelo made some adjustments and bigger guys like Kovalev and Smith seemed to fight scared, especially in Smith's case where there was no clear game plan other than to survive to the final bell. I was saying before this fight that Bivol won't unravel as quickly as Saunders and Plant did and won't fight cautiously (and with little belief) like Smith and Kovalev.
