That has always been his problem. Just the guys he fought at 168 were not good enough to benefit from that.

Eastern European fighters do this well and guys like Terence Crawford do it brilliantly.
If Crawford does this at say 160, then you have a point.

can’t pile like this on canelo for doing what no one else is doing. It’s all hypothetical for now since you well know that Crawford takes no challenges. You’re left with hypotheticals.

His biggest problem is that he has gone from hitting the body to hitting the arms. It worked for him in the Callum Smith fight...and in this fight he thought he could do the same to Bivol. Weaken the arm and make it too hard to lift or use. Bivol was obviously aware from the start and was ready for that strategy. Like he said...Canelo was hitting his arms...he was hitting Canelos head.

People are always tryna clown Bivol and his 'pitty pat' jabs but fail to realize that mixing up the speed and power of your shots is effective and can leave your opponent guessing what might be coming next

I swear 75% of boxing fans and at least 99% of Canelo fans have been saying the last month that he's in his prime or that Bivol is a stiff eurobum with no power and will get broken down and stopped late.

LHW is too high for him. He loses a great deal of his explosiveness and speed when he's that high. He best Kovalev because Kovalev was shot. Otherwise he would have lost that fight. He needs to move back to 168. You're right about his flaws, but there even more pronounced when he moves around the ring with his lead feet. And 174 makes him a frikkin plodder

He fell inlove with his power years ago, so has been reduced to throwing haymakers with very little setup or combinations anymore. Works vs soft euro bums but not vs quality fighters. He landed 8 jabs all fight. Exposed.

biggest flaw is that he went up and fought a great fighter in his prime

honestly Canelo looked 1-dimensional today, hes got more to his game, maybe he couldn't do more cause of the weight difference or maybe he just fell in love with knocking ppl out
