Cherry picking going wrong: Edition Canelo Alvarez

After Bivol's last two fights against Craig Richards and Umar Salamov, Canelo and his managers thought that Bivol was on the decline or maybe he wasn't that good after all and they decided go for another easy fight for more glory and money and now the cherry picked fight is the one in a glory of his own courtesy to Saul Alvarez.

Really after that total dominance of Bivol, I'm not interested in a rematch and it will be more of same.

    Great fight!!!

Or maybe he was chasing greatness and dared to be great fighting a much bigger, highly skilled fighter who has been as dominant as just about anybody out there?

I have no idea why this was or is deemed a cherrypick have people not seen Bivol fight before or something?

who considered it a cherry pick? A cherry pick would have been a fight against charlo.

I just think people started believing Canelo was invincible. Coupled with many not really knowing Bivol's capabilities and Canelo rarely losing on the scorecards, and you have fans thinking that Canelo is going to win clearly.
