Andrade got put on the canvas by Vanes Martirosyan and nearly got chinned by Liam Williams. There's levels to this game. Just because Bivol beat Canelo doesn't mean Andrade has a chance in hell. Bivol had wins in hand over Pascal, Smith, Barrera, Chilemba, and Castillo, any one of whom is better than anyone Andrade has been in with.

Andrade has never been in the ring with an elite fighter and it's clear he has no intention of doing so. He's 34 and he doesn't have one quality win.

I could be wrong since I am just checking Andrade's highlights, but he seems quite similar to Billie Joe Saunders style wise, how is he any more difficult to handle compared to him?

Making weight from 160-168 wouldn't be difficult for Demetrius Andrade so I am asking as if they were on the same weight division.

Nobody ever talked to us about money. We were told by Showtime that [Lara] didn’t want the fight. We went to Germany and he beat Culcay. He did everything he had to do. We came back. Lara was talking about fighting Demetrius Andrade. We came back and what Showtime told us was he didn’t want the fight – he wasn’t interested in doing the fight. But I’m telling you, there was no conversation with Al [Haymon, Lara’s manager] or any of the promoters that are working with Al or anybody about what the money was. We never got that far. We were told [Lara] didn’t want the fight after Demetrius beat Culcay. That’s exactly what happened.

We let it go because that was weeks ago. Then there was an article that came out on BoxingScene that had Lara saying we priced ourselves out of the fight. There was never any discussion of money. It was that Lara wanted to fight [IBF champion Jarrett] Hurd or somebody else. He did not want to fight Andrade.

Andrade didn't shine aagainst Vanes, but he still won. Plus, Vanes was 33-0 and Andrade was still green at 19-0. Vanes was a great fighter with a lot more experience than Andrade.

Charlo offered 200k and Korobov broke down due to lack of money. There was millions on the table for Quillin, but Andrade was getting like ~500k type offer, plus he would have had to move up and didn't want to move up without doing it right. Some people like to jump classes and lose for the money, but real fighters move up properly.
