Eddie Hearn understands there is no point in beating the dead horse that is Demetrius Andrade. The Matchroom Boxing head recently admitted that his decision to cut ties with his longtime client comes out of an inability to "deliver" a significant fight. Andrade, a two-division titlist from Rhode Island, has fought mostly journeymen and no-hopers during a lackluster, if highly remunerative, middleweight title reign under Hearn's company.

This is why fighters like Canelo turn down bigger payday from PBC and hear Haney say things like he’s coming back to DAZN after beating Kamboso to work with Hearn. Hearn has his flaws, but he always has his fighter’s back. He lost a shiet ton of $$ on Andrade, but instead of throwing him under the bus like Arum did Bud, he takes the high road and blames the lack of big fights on himself.

Nice Hearn gave his praises despite the parting of ways. Seems like Andrade has been around forever always just wanted to see him with a big name and it's never happened you have to feel for him a bit but who knows what really goes on behind closed doors.

Yeah, Hearn could have thrown Andrade under the bus like Bob Arum did to Terence Crawford.

But he didn't. Credit to him for being a classier human being.

Boxing is the only sport where this can happen. Tennis, Golf, Snooker etc have tournaments so the best play each other. Phil Mickelson doesn't get to say, I won't face off against Lee Westwood, he is dull & doesn't sell tickets. Ronnie O'Sullivan doesn't get to say, I won't face off against Judd Trump, he is dull & doesn't sell tickets. They have no choice. It is sad that fighters can just swerve Demetrius, a man they know they can't beat, & just say he is dull & doesn't sell tickets.

You've got guys hanging around at 160 like Chris Eubank Jnr & Munguia waiting their time &, at least in CJE's case, moving their mouths. They should be begging for a shot at a world title. They would sooner sit in a cage of killer bees than fight Demetrius. If he moves to 168 I guess he will at least get fights against contenders like John Ryder but he'll still be as far away as ever from the big, marquee fights. It is a low down dirty shame.
