I personally think Boxing is trending. I also think at the moment boxing is more popular than MMA at least in America it is. These are above average numbers. 23 year old Shakur just earned a 1M pay day on cable tv that’s more than the UFC heavyweight champion earned in his last fight.

Yep I would agree with that, mma without a popular star is hurting. Folks don’t talk about it like they did when McGregor and Rousey were champions. It’s too bad that there are not more fights on ESPN and FOX, that helps when people have ready access to boxing

Basically Floyd was like the bank robber who was so good at it, and robbed so many banks, that it caused the banking industry to totally revamp their approach, and make sure to never let anyone rob them again. And now Shakur and Garcia and all these next generation guys come along, and they can't get any traction because Floyd made it impossible for them. You'd have to be a fool to watch Floyd's career for ten years and still keep watching the sport afterwards, or paying for tickets to any of these new guys. Floyd milked Boxing fans so dry that they won't ever produce no more milk for the next generation, figuratively speaking.

And like I said, good for them. The smartest boxing fans are the ones who don't watch boxing. The sport is a joke, and it will never change, especially if you keep watching it the way it is. Maybe if everyone boycotts it the way it is, it will change a little bit in the future, but even then, it won't really change. There are better things to do with your time.

Canelo, Fury, Spence, Tank ( to a lesser degree) and others are drawing well.

The sport isn’t as popular same way horse racing and baseball aren’t as popular. American fans preferences have changed. That’s not because of Floyd.

When Jordan left, NBA numbers dipped for a while. When Stone Cold and The Rock left, WWE numbers dipped. Tiger off the tour, golf numbers drop. Etc etc.

When the biggest and best stars that transcend that sport and bring in casual fans leave, numbers will drop.
