I congratulate both Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor on such a spirited effort they both gave on Saturday night. They made women boxing very proud. I said that to say this. This fight should have never made it to the scorecards to begin with.

Serrano had Taylor badly hurt and out but didn't finish the job. Taylor was ready to go and tap out but Amanda let her survive the last four rounds of the fight by taking her feet off of the gas pedal. What a veteran mistake it was?

Serrano also tired after trying to get Taylor out of there and Taylor adjusted and stopped trading inside and had a second wind. It was a combination of dynamics. But 97-93 scores was ridiculous. And they need to start scoring a round where one fighter tears apart another for a round - a 10-8 round, not 10-9. Serrano should have had a 10-8 round in her favor when she battered Taylor almost senseless.

Maybe most folks don't know how to score a fight. Make that: most folks and many referees don't know how to score a fight.

I’m so proud of her for keeping her sister and brother in law in check. She’s an amazing athlete and woman but those two imo drag her down and shouldn’t be allowed to ruin the moment. She’s gonna get paid and I’m happy about it. Her and Katie should run that back. Wait for the Marshall shields results and have a three woman championship fight night, run all the fights back and throw deeshon(butchered it)-Cruz and her crazy get ups on there to.

It’s like Amanda’s fans and Jake Paul cared more about her getting ripped off by the judges than she did, and that just doesn’t sit well.
She knew she lost that fight, that’s why she came out in the 12th looking for a home run and nearly walked into a tate quieta punch. Her trainer knew she was behind. I can hear arguments for the 97-93 but it wasn’t any kind of robbery by any stretch. Hell she got a card which I don’t think she deserved to win.

Well said! Strong lady, good judgment, smart...she's gonna make it anywhere she goes! Let the coach and promoter talk, keep handling your business. That "L" is for later and you will catch her later if she steps up and gives you a rematch. You fought like Tito and just needed a little Oscar shoe shine at the end of close rounds. I thought Serrano won, but have no prob with the decision.

Gotta respect her. It was a close-ish fight. She didn't cry and complain. The men could take a leaf out of her book

Haha That remark made me lol. From the looks of it, there are no losers here. A rematch means even more money, and even greater attention to women’s boxing.

Serrano is all class, very mature, and, respectful, even-keel. She is a rarity in Boxing.

The rip off was heart breaking for her you can believe that, she just knew that no amount of complaining was going to change the decision.
So she decided to take it on the chin, and just be content with the biggest payday that she had ever made, possibly in her whole career.
Now she stands to make an even bigger payday in the rematch, and she won't let Katie off the hook next time.
She knows now to use her jab to set her up for the big shot's as opposed to going all out for the knockout, and work that body, to break her down.
