Can i ever be a professional Boxer?

    Native American Descent

    5''10 1/2

    230 lbs

    1988 Birth (21 Years Old)

Never Drank Alcohol in my life

Recently quit smoking (I smoked for 6 months)

Just wondering if there is anyway i can bust my ass off for the next 6 months or so to drop down to 170 and start training to become a boxer? I know im not in good shape right now but when i do get in shape is there a possibility i could eventually get ANY professional fights. I have no history of any boxing or sparring, i have a couple of relatives who were ameteaurs and my dad fought as an ameteaur.

This is not a joke thread im at a cross roads in my life and i dont wanna be 40 years old and wonder WHAT IF I JUST GOT IN SHAPE AND WENT TO THE BOXING GYM ect....

Please and thank you for any feed back

If i want to lose 65 lbs in 6 months i have to lose 2.7 lbs / week

You need to cut weight first, get down to walking weight of around 170 and then start training for boxing. at 5"10 youll prob be at juniormiddle. youre too small for middle weight.

60 lbs thats more than 25% of your body weight...that would take a lot of dedication

Anything is possible man, with determination and heart you might be a World Champion someday and just maybe we'll be making forum threads about you...
You never know man, just go for it. Losing weight is easy, it's all about mental strength. Stop eating junk foods like soda, candy, cake, chips etc.. Drink lots of water and eat only fruits and vegetables. Don't eat meat for 6 months and you'll shed the weight like a snake sheds skin. It's not hard, just requires discipline like most things in life. If you can commit all your time into boxing and nothing else you can still go very far... Like my Sensei once told me, the journey to your ultimate destiny begins with the very first step.

thanks for your post. im actually going to start going to the gym this friday. i think i can lose the wieght in 6 months cuz when i was 12 i lost 60 lbs in 5 months just by eating better, i kinda starved myself a bit sometimes but i was relatively eating healthy. You guys know any natural supplaments i could use to help things? I heard "ACQUIA BERRY" is good for metabolism. I really want to increase my metabolism.
