Kid keeps improving would love to see a rematch against Reyes Sanchez. We gotta remember he's only 21 years old and just started boxing . He has a lot of room to grow , I can see him havinga similar career to Shane Mosley Jr except a bit better cause Top Rank's match making

Muhammad Ali often gets criticised as prejudiced, even racist, because of one of his many 'off the cuff' statements that 'black birds should stick with black birds, blue birds should stick with blue birds & yellow birds should stick with yellow birds'. I never thought he was that serious & it appears even his own children didn't think that was good advice, if it was ever meant to be taken seriously.

I agree with the entire post, he's definitely improved and he does have a natural nice overhand right.

I bolded the last statement because I think that's a pretty good como and one I hadn't thought of. I'm also glad that ESPN has pumped the brakes on the hype, laid off Ali legacy stuff and has given the kid some room to develop. The near loss to Reyes Sanchez may have been the best thing for him to be honest.

Only an absolute creep would see something wrong with that.

I like this kid a lot. He's humble, intelligent, well spoken and I think he has talent. I hope he goes far.

All Nico had to do is pick which time to shoot it.

A 7-1 guy is an OK opponent for now. A few more gimmes and it will be time to see what Nico is made of.

I anxiously wait to see how Nico Ali fares with more skilled, preferably defensively sound opponents with adequate punching. As you mentioned, he is getting by this level with ease ; this one proved what we already knew and highlighted his power, maybe they ( Toprank ) keep feeding him more of the same to hype him up, like his training partner Edgar Berlanga.
