Comments Thread For: Bob Arum Casts Doubt On Crawford's Mental Fortitude To Beat Spence

Bob can sometimes be petty with fighters that broke from him lol but I guess he doesn't care much since he's 90 and a legend in the business. He's seen so many fighters and top fighters come and go. This ain't nothing to him. Him not making a big deal of Terence being in a TR gym also shows that he's above certain things and still keeps the show moving forward. Reminds me of WWE's Vince McMahon. So many wrestlers have left WWE talking mad crap about him, but somehow Vince rises above it and even does business with them again. That's real business-men like stuff right there. I hope those two sides (Bob/TR and Bud) can squash things and just move on with their lives.Comment

Crawford’s mental shape should be just fine. This is shaping up to be one Hell of a fight. This fight has the potential of being one of the greatest welterweight fights in history. All I know is that Spence is already grinding hard for this fight. It could very well come down to the man who wants it the most.
Crazy question, but have you got connections to Spence in some way to know he’s training now? Or have I just missed some news articles?Comment

Always the way, mate. Having said that, Arum starting **** talking him before the contract was even up. Lol.Comment

That’s not what he’s saying. He’s saying employing people doesn’t necessarily mean you like them, respect them, or aren’t totally bigoted against them.
My old boss was a massive ****phobe, but he still employed a gay salesman because he was good at his job. If he was ****, he wouldn’t have been working there, regardless.Comment

If Arum made Crawford leave the gym Shakur would be the next to leave Top Rank and Bob knows it, simple as that. Arum has always been petty and greedy but back then he was a great promoter. Today Arum is older and no longer a great promoter...just twice as petty and twice as cheap.

Just don't see any evidence of Arum being a racist though. After all these years the man isn't squeaky clean but first I am hearing this specific one. It's also mighty coincidental it's at this time where that word is tossed around for anything.
