wow! people think that by Pacquiao beating a weight drained corpse in De La Hoya catapulted him to "GOD" status, and by the way I'm not one of the ones that thought Hatton was gonna beat Pacquiao, I knew Pacquiao was gonna expose him, because all Ricky HAtton has ever done was beat and old ass Tszyu and keep a perfect record till he was 43-0.....for example look at JCC Jr. that dude like 40-0 already, who has he beaten though?, same with Hatton, like I said, Cotto is the first REAL fight Pacquiao has signed since Marquez 2Last edited by DeymarPR; 09-17-2009, 11:06 AM.Comment

Oh Jesus.......
I think that anyone with some knowledge of the actual whole history of boxing would probably rate him somewhere around the 30-50 mark at the moment. The Cotto fight will take it up to 20-40 mark if he can win and the Mayweather fight would bring it up to a top 20 fighter. He simply doesn't have enough great fighters that are huge accomplishments on his resume to make him anything more than that.
Until he fights someone that is bigger, younger, faster and better skilled, which all the top ten ATG's did, and on numerous occasions, then he can't make that big leap. Fighting good fighters that are the same size, less skilled, slower, older, are made for your style etc etc doesn't really get you up there in terms of true greatness and the only guy that is a real proper test for him would be Mayweather. That's still only one fighter though and to get to a top ten place in the entire history of the sport you've got to do more than beat an old Oscar, a ****e Hatton and some other very good fighters that retired straight after he beat them after long, already overdue careers.
To get to that incredible spot of top ten/twenty you've got to face some serious adversity and incredible odds and overcome them. To this date he hasn't faced that type of thing at all. So, no he will not make the top ten, or maybe even twenty but we'll wait and see how he does with Cotto. Another fighter he is not really smaller than, or slower, or older and another fight in which he is the big favourite to win by KO.
Amazing career already to date but no way could it confused for a top five, ten or even twenty yet.Comment
