Comments Thread For: Andy Ruiz Doesn't Rule Out a Joshua Win, But Rooting For Usyk

Former unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz is backing Oleksandr Usyk to win his upcoming rematch with Anthony Joshua, which is being targeted for a date in July. Last September, Usyk outboxed Joshua over twelve rounds to capture the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight titles.

One hit wonder ruiz trying to be relevant again. Missed your chance with layoffs and life or death fights with non champs. Youll be relegated to gatekeeper status. Usyk though closer in size & reach is a huge f... No fight. Has a jaw huge iq super agile and quick ruiz would win 1 round max & thats the first when you go half speed spar match to feel opp out after that landslide

The good thing for Joshua, even if he does lose again, and he wouldn't like that, but his career wouldn't be over.

He's still marketable, has good power, and vulnerability. So, he could fight Wilder and Fury, if either of them does fight again.

He could also fight a young prospect in Anderson, as well as fellow Brit Joyce.

But yes, the heavyweight division is not deep in talent, not much available as you can see.

          Theres plenty of talent.

When Wlad was champ Alex Leapai and Mariusz Wach were mandatory challengers for unified belts.

This era isn't as weak as people make out.

I think they where mandatory challengers because Kiltschko had fought everybody.

Belts had to look for people to challenge Kiltschko. Because he had wiped out the division over and over again.

As you know Fury does not take on all comers, only really Joshua & Wilder as Champions were doing that.

He keeps coming out to the ring in a giant orthodox Christian, Jesus t-shirt.

Wlad beat some good HWs. Wach was not a mando but he beat Tye Fields to get his shot. Leapai became mandatory for beating trialhorse Mark Hicks i believe they Denis Boytsov who was the WBO #1 for some reason. Mormeck & Pianeta were pretty weak. Povetkin, Byrd & Haye were his best wins. McCline, Pulev, Botha, Barrett, Jefferson, Shufford, Austin, Ibragimov, Peter, Thompson were also decent wins. He never did rematch Sanders & he avenged a loss to A shot Brewster. For the most part he did beat almost everyone. He beat a shot Rahman & got a questionable win TD over Williamson when he got dropped & a cut was opened from An accidental butt i believe. His first Peter fight he got dropped 3 times but still somehow won a UD. He did win most of the rounds. His brother he was never going to fight. The Sanders loss ended his chance of a Lennox fight who was scouting him as a possible opponent at the time. He was early in his career at that point. It is strange how Fury gets heat for a tuneup with Pianeta after a 3.5 year layoff but it was ok for Wlad to make a voluntary world title defence against him. Imagine if it was Fury, Wilder or Joshua giving him a title fight? The backlash here would be crazy. Especially for Fury…

Tye Fields? I live in Canada, where weed is now legal.

What are you on? Can you get me any?
