This may be the first time I have to disagree with you BIGPOPPA, You attempt to debunk Manny Pacquiao's 5 world titles because you say The Ring Magazines belt doesn't count, on the contrary Bigpoppa In my opinion all the other sanctions belts count less I mean all you have to do is be next in line and have the champ step down to take a payday fight to become champ.

You can't become The Ring Magazine champ that way, you have to beat the best in the weight class or atleast #1, PERIOD! Who are the ring champs right now lets run through them....Manny Pacquiao, Ivan Calderon, Juan Manuel Marquez, Kelly Pavlik, Adamek, and Klitschko. Can anyone say these aren't great fighters?

Now what about the WBC just a few since they automaticly give a belt no matter what to someone in everyweight class, but first some notables, like Pavlik, Frosch, and Berto but then you got Devon Alexander, Sergio Martinez,Jean Pascal and Giacobbe Fragomeni, WHO?!

I mean come on the ring magazine belt no real, if anything it should be the most respected, hell even Floyd won atleast 2 ring belts

Im not saying Mayweather aint great but his undefeated record basicly stand because he passed up on Mosley and Cotto and Margarito and others. While Pacquiao has fought Morales, Barrera, Marquez, Hatton and De La Hoya which Mayweather also fought/ Come on dont lean on Pacquiao for being great, not dodging and stepping up for the fans unlike Mayweather.

The two will square off Saturday at MGM Grand in Las Vegas in what will be Mayweather's first fight since December 2007. Mayweather had just finished doing interviews with several reporters when we stepped in and got his thoughts on a couple of poignant issues.

For as long as we can remember, Mayweather has made it clear he doesn't read his press clippings. But the look on his face when asked how important it is to receive proper acknowledgement for his accomplishments spoke volumes.

"I don't think you're really going to understand my career until it's all over," Mayweather said. "Ten years, twenty years from now, when people's grandkids getting ready to see, they're going to be like, 'This kid was something special. This guy was something special. This fighter was something special.' "

Mayweather was speaking calmly. But he became a bit animated when the next subject was broached. There are more than a few reporters - not this one - who are giving Manny Pacquiao credit for having won titles in six weight classes. [details]

Mayweather is not the p4p best because he doesn't fight the best fighters. He makes fights with guys, he himself says are not good fighters. When he was fighting the mitchells, judahs, baldomirs, and hattons of the welterweight divison, he could have been fighting, cotto, margarito, clottey, mosley, quintana and cintron. And dont give me that, they were ducking him, because if he wanted to make the fights happen he would have. Not knocking the man's talent but he hand picks easy fights for him. Thats not p4p.

He doesn't want it with Marquez, but I can't blame him for it.
Where did you get this notion that Pac ran three weight divisions away from Marquez? Marquez had a chance to fight Pac in a rematch, but turned it down because he didn't like the money, then fought Chris John for a pittance instead. Pac went up to chase bigger fights (and not chumps, either) against Morales. After the Morales trilogy, he fought the rematch with Barrera, then Marquez again. Then he went and fought DLH and Hatton. Can you blame him for choosing DLH over Marquez? That's money you don't turn down.

Anyway, I read a while ago that he said that Marquez does deserve a 3rd fight. If Marquez beats Mayweather, and Pac beats Cotto, I'd almost guarantee that Pac-Marquez 3 happens. First things first, though, Mayweather and Cotto are no chumps. Marquez and Pac need to take care of business.

                To Morales, the writer.

I disagree with the statement that Pac qasn't looking at Hatto when he knocked him out. If you watched it carefully, and I have stated this in another thread, it was a perfectly set up Knockout punch. It was a perfectly calculated punch meant to knockout Hatton and it did.

It was like Pacquiao said "Hey Ricky! Eat this!" then threw a fake right hand jab to distract him and followed it up quickly with a ******* left to the jaw. It was perfectly set up.

Look. He didn't even throw a follow up punch. As soon as he hit him, he practically walked away.

And can we stop mentioning Pac's two KO's? come on... he got hit in the ribs and lost because he was malnourished and weight drained.

Floyd didnt fight the Cotto's and Marg's yet so people dont wanna give him credit.......I'm not sayin' he has showed a WARRIOR's heart or mentality.......but he does deal with adversity VERY well in the ring when needed!!.....I think people should just judge him as a FIGHTER and forget the PERSON........because Floyd the FIGHTER is the BEST.......him as a PERSON is STILL maturing!!!......I've now grown to expect Floyd to say crazy ****.......but he said NOTHING crazy in this one!!! IMO
