Comments Thread For: Taylor: Ever Since I Turned Pro I Had My Eyes Fixed On Two Fights - Persoon and Serrano

NEW YORK - Katie Taylor has accomplished more in her boxing lifetime than just any other female in the history of the sport. Still, the 2012 Olympic Gold medalist, two division and undisputed lightweight champion still felt the need to check another box heading into her next fight.

I scored both fights for the Belgium-Wildcat, Taylor never looked the same. I think Katie is in trouble come Saturday because, Amanda 'The Real-Deal' Serrano comes with that same 'seek & destroy' methodology.

The way I see it, Katie is walking into a field filled with landmines when she steps in the ring with 'The Real-Deal', the question is how many bombs can Katie's chin take against one of the most destructive punchers that women's boxing has ever seen?

Like I said before and this is no exaggeration, I would not be surprised that Katie Taylor gets KO in the first round, like when Amanda blasted Eva Voraberger to become seven division world champion, in little over 30 seconds.

I'm kicking real facts, yeah you're welcome dont hate.

Well Taylor accomplished her first goal of fighting Persoon, now she's about to realize her second goal fighting Serrano.
Many saw Taylor lose both of her fights against Persoon, and still get the decision's, she won't be so lucky against Serrano.
Serrano is younger than both of them, and has almost twice as many knockout's inflicted on her opponents than Persoon,
Taylor hasn't any power to speak of.
In my opinion Serrano also boxes better than Persoon, and Taylor, this all spells nothing but trouble for Taylor on 4/30/2022.
Not only do I see Taylor getting a royal beat down, but she probably will get stopped the referee calling a halt to the fight.

I had Taylor vs Persoon 1 a draw and the rematch a win for Taylor. This could be her potential first loss though, Serrano has looked fresher to me comparing their last few performances, I think Taylor's apex has now passed.

I've been critical of KT over her last several fights, but, for some reason, I think she's really going to bring it and surprise Serrano with a dominant win. KT can't really crack an egg, but, stylewise, I think she may be a great matchup for Serrano. Making comparisons to Persoon is pretty pointless. Persoon and Serrano couldn't be more different physically or with regard to fighting style.

Good post. I'm actually picking Katie Taylor straight out. I think Amanda Serrano will bring the best out of her. People shouldn't sleep on Taylor.

Katie robbed Persoon and Eddie Hearn would have bought judges for the upcoming fight too.

People who say Persoon beat Taylor, are Clueless! If Katie's head had if been twice the size if what it is, Persoon still would have been missing with most shots. It was an awful display of boxing from Persoon, her boxing was truly terrible. However her fitness and conditioning and durability were amazing, thats not how fights are judged though.

Persoon whooped Taylor in the first fight.

Second fight was much closer, could've gone either way.
