Pre CVS Clenelo I would say go in and tear his head apart for his body.

Post CVS Clenelo I would say the same, Bicol is bigger, faster stronger.

Mob involved? I would say hit the floor on the first shot.

The main thing he has got to do is sit down on his shots, people need to stop feather dusting and running for 12 rounds.

At the LEAST, hit him with SOMETHING solid early, ideally in the 20 seconds of the fight.

He could pay off the judges. Boxing-wise, he needs to use the jab and try to keep the roider at length. Nelo needs to punch up because he's the smaller guy, so he needs to keep that smaller guy on the outside at all times. The straight right to the body will work for him but he'll need to apply the uppercut at times to keep the smaller guy from effectively moving in. Nelo will be bobbing and weaving like Tyson, when he ducks, pop his ass with the uppercut, keep him honest and on the outside, then keep tagging the body with the right.

Bivol is an A fighter. Canelo has never beat an A level fighter. He lost to Floyd, Lara, G. All A fighters. He is massively overrated based on his recent wins over B/B- fighters. I don’t see him beating Bivol legitimately. Canelo is good enough to make it competitive and if it’s competitive I expect a robbery. However if he does beat Bivol legitimately then all credit to him, he will finally deserve the praise they are giving him.

He can’t win. He doesn’t have the style to win.

Lara was never an A fighter. He’s a good fighter. Bivol is a good fighter, but he isn’t an A fighter. It’s going to take sheer “Duran against Leonard type will” to beat Canelo.

I feel this fight will be like GGG/Canelo 1.... Bivol wins, but gets robbed or tied on the cards. Too much money on the line otherwise. I definitely think Bivol is not about the paycheck here like Kovalev was, and WILL be going in there to stop Canelo. Bivol is definitely not beating Ginger on the cards, unless he wins all 12 rounds and puts Canelo on the ground.

One of the few people who doesn't make up excuses for GGG I and Lara. Bivol is a basic 1-2 guy just like Lara, not much different, but naturally bigger and more powerful if you listen to his punches sound off on Barrera and Smith wins. You just don't venture up to 175 and walk down a prime fighter when you can't put a dent in shot fighters like Chavez Jr and Angulo and have to chase around Pudding Hands Plant.

Again, he is either beaten badly or wins with rigged cards. Does Levi Martinez have his 117-111 card ready or does Bivol for some reason just forget how to fight?

This is a legit 6'1-2 professional boxer he is pounding but he won't be able to handle a 5'7 because he is the greatest fighter we have ever seen who can defy weight classes.

What next? Canelo walks down Usyk.

                  I mean really people!

I mean you sound very logical. But many fighters at this stage dream for a night under the lights and simply under perform. They second guess and question themselves. Go into auto pilot mode. It’s happened to many of fighters.

Bivol has the tools to beat Canelo up badly but he probably won’t be the same Bivol on May 7th. And everyone will be asking why he didn’t do this or do that. Why did he fight scared? Why didn’t he use his jab? Why wasn’t he throwing his infamous 1-2? Why didn’t he adjust? Why does he look tired already?

Bivol will be mentally exhausted by Thursday of fight week. The final air out of his sails coming from the 10min ring walk and cinco de Mayo/Mexican festivities.

By the time the bell rings Bivol will be a shell of himself.

Canelo isn’t really a one punch knockout guy, he can, but that was mostly at lower weights with fighters that had been stopped before.

let’s look at the reality, he did stop Saunders but it was more of a freak injury that may not happen 98 times out of 100, at no point did he ever look like he could even drop him. He hit Callum Smith at will, couldn’t drop him or hurt him really. Jacobs has been dropped before and stopped but Canelo couldn’t hurt him. The list goes on. Plant was worn down more than anything.

I’d say it’s highly unlikely Canelo wins this fight just with a solid shot. It’s going to be a chess match.

Bivol has a very good style to face Canelo. High work rate, gets in and out fast, decent enough power when he wants etc. Canelo is going to have to rely on more than single big shots here, if he does, he’s going to get badly outworked. There’s very little chance of Bivol losing with a single shot.
