Comments Thread For: Canelo Sees Himself Fighting '6 to 7' More Years; Not Interested in Crossover Bouts

Canelo Alvarez may not have any desire to stick around in boxing any longer than he has to, but he apparently is not about to abandon it anytime soon either.

I'm hoping Bivol has an ounce of pride in himself and knocks this dude out. You already have a knee brace at 32 and are flat-footed but you are going to navigator the ring legitimate another 6-7 years. So we have to watch him with some kind of 66-1-2 rigged, fake record when he should have as money defeats at Manny?

He is a credit to the sport really, whether you love him or hate him. As good as Fury is and as big a star as hes become, I dont like hearing guys in their early 30s acting like they cant get out of the sport fast enough and/or entertaining the kind of circus BS that you should be doing when you're like 40+ and have been out of the sport for years.

That's a lot of hate but why, bro? Beceause of his success? How can he help it that he's the face of boxing for some time now. He's gifted, a dedicated sportsman and a warrior in the ring. Appreciate greatness while you are witnessing it.

I like Fury, Crawford, Usyk, Taylor and the winner of Charlo/Brian so it can't be hate, can it? Add the winner of Devin and Kambosos.

Come on Nelo.. 6-7 years are too much. 35 is good age to retire from boxing.

Love him or hate him, Canelo has been on a tear since the Golovkin rematch. He beat notable opponents some of which were undefeated to claim the Undisputed 168 lb crown. Those were the guys with the belts and Canelo dispatched them. Callum, Plant, and Saunders were undefeated. Canelo's an all time great and is at his peak. Another 6-7 years will bolster an already legendary career.
