I hear ya and there isn't one perfect solution but we did have the discussion about how to deal with shifting multipliers when we took over from Brobob and it's come up once or twice since. The decision made was that Wed need a standard time point at which to lock the odds in otherwise wed be running the risk of constantly changing the Dog multipliers as the odds shifted.
The point chosen - somewhat arbitrarily - was the Tuesday prior to fight night, typically the day on which we put the thread up. Actually it was mentioned more recently too as it used it for part of the rationale for moving from odds checker to proboxingodds cos PBO shows the odds change over time allowing us to track back to the odds on the Tuesday in the event we were late getting the thread up and running.
End of the day it's an imperfect solution but the alternative would require more management both from the CREW and players and would disadvantage those who haven't got the time or inclination to watch the changing odds. As with everything else in the Pick Em it's up for discussion for future years, but for the time being that's how were working it.
Probably best to look at it as MulaKO suggests, like spotting a good line and taking advantage of it.
