With a record of 39-0 Floyd just happens to be the luckiest boxer of this era. Right?...Dapee?

TS, rewatch the fight and pay close attention to how low hatton's guard is; how badly he cheats and wrestles and how badly he is owned. HBO announcers said that hatton brought the best out of Mayweather. Nuh uh. Mayweather was carrying hatton to give the crowd a show.

If "ineffective aggression" is the criteria, then yeah he won 4 of the first 6.

Mayweather came out calling the fight a war, what a fcukin joke Ricky would've shown him a real fcukin war if the fat cnut ref got the fcuk out of the way. Mayweather ain't living with Hatton in a brawl, he's getting the face beat off him without the ref's protection.

He was setting Hatton up for that punch since round 1.

Dude, hatton does not war, he wrestles. Did you see the fight against Pacquiao? He only seems to know how to punch when he's holding on, that's not boxing. As much as I hate hopkins, at least hopkins just leans in...he does not grab as often and hit after he's grabbed the opponent. I don't dislike you, Weebler, but I think you're a bit off if you think Mayweather was ever going to lose.

Stop scoring fights. Hatton maybe won two rounds. Joe Cortez was incompetent, but Hatton didn't win 4 rounds so you fail. Floyd landed clean punches from the get go. It was nearly an outclassing.

I disagree with the thread starter.

However, what that fight showed me, and what Roach has been saying lately, is that ever since Floyd left the 135lbs division, he's not that great, very good, but can no longer be considered a great fighter.

Yes, Hatton for the most part if not the entire fight was really ineffective with whatever he was trying to do. But, at the same time, Hatton showed how easy it was to close the distance on Floyd w/o even having to jab his way in.

The fact that Hatton was able to close in on Floyd, and when Floyd needed his jab most and his jab was virtually non-existent as Hatton's was, it gives me more hope that PAC can seriously get the job done against Floyd.

What gave Floyd fits too, was Hatton's unpredictable movement and PAC is about as unpredictable as they come when it comes to footwork and coming at ya with alot more speed!
