He is just as much of a challenge as Callum Smith, Avni Yildirim, Billy Joe Saunders and Caleb Planet were. So my answer is no. Bivol isn’t a challenge to Alvarez. As a matter of fact, None of those opponents ever presented any serious threat to him or otherwise, he would have never fought them. Just like he didn’t fight Charlo, Andrade and David Benavidez.

I say all boxers at a certain level have their die hard fans that would argue with a wall that their fighter is the best of the best and nobody is even close. Their are some boxing fans that have favorite fighters and everything but are sensible enough to know all fighters are human and subject to human actions and faults.

Take this thread for instance.... it was started by a poster with CaneloBlue as the name on the account complaining that David Benavidez has the worst fanbase. Ya cant make this stuff up.

1) They are all highly skilled 2) They are all American 3) They are all undefeated and 4) They are all champions; Including David Benavidez because he has only lost his title on the scales.
