Comments Thread For: Dillian Whyte Claims Credit for Building Up Tyson Fury Early in Career

Dillian Whyte believes Tyson Fury is where he is today in part thanks to the work Whyte provided many years ago. The Jamaican-born, London-based Whyte, who broke his media silence recently, said in an interview with Steve Bunce that Whyte, along with a few other heavyweights, were responsible for instilling in Fury the qualities that have made him a heavyweight champion.

You either missed all the sarcasm in my post or you’re just arguing with yourself.
Fury haters repeatedly told us that Fury is scared of Whyte, hence the boogeyman moniker.
Clearly you are one of those guys because you are now spewing nonsense about Fury “praying AJ wins” because he’s scared of Usyk.
You then go on to spew lies about Fury pulled out of fighting AJ. That is a lie and you know it. Fury and AJ were set to fight until Wilder took Fury to court and forced a 3rd fight.
Lastly, you are literally inventing a new boogeyman in Usyk by saying Fury is scared of him.
Fury turned down AJ for a fight in April 2019. This was when Fury had no belts and AJ had 3. He then signed up for a fight with AJ when he was contracted to fight Wilder. How could he not know that??? That is a big clause in a contract. So that's 2 fights with AJ he avoided. The reason he avoided the first one - was because AJ looked a lot better then (pre-Ruiz defeat)
I mean c'mon Fury avoided every elite fighter in his generation apart from Wlad. He went Derek Chisora, Christian Hammer, to a pre-retirement Wlad and then ran from the rematch.
He's done it this generation too - Wilder and Whyte - that's it!Last edited by Roberto Vasquez; 05-21-2022, 11:45 AM.Comment

If Fury isn't scared of the guy with all the belts why isn't he fighting him and unifying the titles? Why hasn't Fury given up his belt? Why is the WBC acting su****ious in letting him hold onto it? You can't be that naive.

You are just repeating the same rhetoric so there’s nothing to respond to except …. Fury bear Wladimir. That is a fact. And then he “ran from a rematch” from a guy he already beat?
I guess he also ran from a rematch with Whyte.
Maybe Floyd ran from a rematch with Guerrero and Hatton?
Perhaps Canelo ran from a rematch with Billy Saunders and Plant?
Perhaps Spence ran from a rematch with Ugas, Porter and Mikey Garcia?Last edited by Oregonian; 05-22-2022, 09:49 AM.Comment

Not to mention Wlad lost to Brewster in 5 rounds. But guess what - he beat him in a rematch. Buy why bother right? Imagine if in every sport - when you lost to someone - you assumed that would happen every time lol. I think you live in an alternate reality dudeLast edited by Roberto Vasquez; 05-22-2022, 10:46 AM.Comment

What you talking about? DO you even know boxing? Saunders etc werent the champions at the time. When a champion loses they have a rematch clause they can exercise. Not to mention Saunders quit in his stool and retired from boxing for ages. No way did he want a rematch

You are responding with opinions while I’m giving you facts.
Saunders & Plant were belt holders ie champs. So you factually incorrect.
Brewster took the rematch because of the $$$. Who else was he going to fight that would pay him the kind of money Wlad generates?
It is the reason PAC holds the record for most rematches and trilogies. Guys who beat him knew you follow the money.
Lastly, rematches can be warranted if the fights were close. Fury would have beaten Wlad if they had fought again.
PAC-Marquez were too close hence the 4 fights.Comment
