I agree that Crawford resume at 147 lacks substance but I’ll also say that Porter is a better fighter at welterweight than most other fighters are in their weight classes. For example I think he’s a better welterweight than anyone Taylor unified against at 140, than anyone charlo unified against at 154, than anyone charlo or Andrade or ggg beat for their belts at 160, than anyone canelo unified with at 168, or beterbiev unified with at lhw.

100% agreement! Bud passes the "eye test" just like Boots Ennis, but his resume at 147 is not much better than Boots, if at all! Spence has proven his worth, Bud and Boots have work to do!At this point, I almost rather see Spence and Boots go at it, but I know that can happen @ 154, so i'd rather Crawford first, and for Boots to fight the winner!
I think people overstate Spence's resume a bit compared to Crawford. It's better but nothing special imo. He has ugas on there now which is a solid win. Apart from that it's just people who Crawford has beaten more impressively or people who haven't done much at 147.Comment

Honestly, Bud Crawford is the smarter than Spence but still, it's going to be a very, very close fight. For the record, Spence is better than Charlo at any weight ,I'd put money on that.
In the end, If Crawford beats Spence, Charlo will put on his angry face and run a long list of reasons why he's not going to fight Crawford.Comment

Crawford has the potential become a high ranked ATG if he becomes undisputed at 140, 147, then unify 154.Comment

Agreed.
With Boots, he’s only 23 and we are all high on him. I doubt anyone knew of Crawford when he was 23.
More important, by this time, Boots knows what he has to do to not end up like Crawford.
Boots can beat Thurman at this point in his career so if he were to fight Thurman and Connor Benn this year, he can pretty much own the 147 division for the next 5 years because I think Spence will move to 154 after beating Crawford.

You are literally trying to distort facts. These are the guys Crawford fought at 147- Jeff Horn - (wins WBO belt)
- Jose Benavidez
- Amir Khan
- Kavaliauskas
- Kell Brook
- Shawn Porter
Kell Brook was undefeated when Spence beat him, in the UK no less.
Spence beat Porter in a FOTY fight.
Both Brook and Porter are Spence’s left overs. Brook was pretty much washed up when Crawford beat him.
You are left with Khan, Benavidez and Kavaliauskas as your argument … what exactly have they done at 147? Especially Khan. What kind of argument are you making?
