Exposed is a very poor choice of words, if that was exposed then TC has been exposed as well so the fights even two exposed rookies lol.
Spence 'mandown' style got exposed in the Ugas fight

He wasn't hurt, thats a horrible cherrrypicked cam angle
(& even in that angle, turn off the idiot announcer & Spence never even looks hurt, when he was getting hit without a mouthpiece he clearly decided to go to the ropes because he got hit after Cole had already said stop & that caused him to go into temp survival mode so he can get his mouthpiece back, once he did he immediately lit up Ugas again at will. )
When they showed the close up you can clearly see Spences mouthpiece fell out, then He started looking down because the ref said stop! twice & Ugas didn't listen, just as in several rds Ugas threw multiple punches after the bell.

Where they show in the video as "Spence got staggered",he literally didn't even get hit(Ugas threw a tapping right cross that was blocked & wasn't anywhere near Spences face anyways(unless you say he was staggered from a tap to the torso),Spence then swung & lost balance,Spence was already hurt and not fully by his senses before Ugas landed that 2 piece that sent him into the ropes. There was never a problem with the mouth piece, Spence was just confused by shots he took and defaulted to spitting out his mouthpiece.
Bad job by Ugas and bad job by the ref for stepping in and saving Spencer. It does show the vulnerabilty of Spence
then proceeded to walk forward hitting Ugas at will,& then his mouthpiece fell out & the ref said stop, Ugas didn't listen & hit Spence as he ******ly wasn't paying attention because his attention went to the mouthpiece thinking it was a break.
As for why Ugas didn't jump on him it was because the ref halfway jumped in between them, but then just stood there once Spence went to the ropes,so Ugas wasn't sure if he should attack
(plus his eye was already fcked up,he couldn't see well & was taking a beating; its been known to cause hesitancy when a fighter is taking a beating already, they don't have same killer instinct too.)Last edited by kushking; 04-19-2022, 12:23 AM.Comment

It really doesn't even matter about being hurt.He wasn't hurt, thats a horrible cherrrypicked cam angle

That mistake should NOT have happened. Not with Spence.
Imagine if that were an equal weight Isaac Cruz in there, full throwing for the fences, when that happened. Spence would have been toast. He got lucky it was Ugas with no killer instinct. That's the problem. Him not even bothering to protect himself when he knows that!
And ultimately...it's the fact now:
Crawford got TWO PIECED, wobbled and DROPPED by Kavaliauskas.
Spence got TWO PIECED, wobbled and (should have been) DROPPED by Ugas.
Both are clearly declined from their peak. And that's unfortunate.Comment

It should have been ruled a knockdown when he went flying into the ropes as the ropes prevented him from falling.
Now the ref actually did Ugas a favor by not ruling it a knockdown and giving spence a standing 8 to recover.... spence was on bambi legs and the ref's inaction gave Ugas more time there to take him out but he didnt follow through.Comment

Take into account that Ugas was literally being fed to upcoming undefeated prospects. People want to pretend that didn't happen. That pretty much tells you what the promoters think of his skill level. Genie fell into his lap and PBC's when he beat the over-the-old-hall Manny. If Porter is maybe a B fighter, that would make Ugas a C+ fighter. Spence stops a C+ fighter who was being fed to prospects but can't stop guys closer to Crawford.Spence was already hurt and not fully by his senses before Ugas landed that 2 piece that sent him into the ropes. There was never a problem with the mouth piece, Spence was just confused by shots he took and defaulted to spitting out his mouthpiece.

I'm sure PBC brass saw that too. That's why Alan Haymon had the weasel Espinoza making up excuses about the fight not happening this year Monday.Comment

Yes. he was hurt on multiple occasions. Ugas hurt in the body in round 9 too. It was a punch right right in the solar plexus that helped slowed him down.

I remember that. It was in the ninth round. Ugas momentarily stopped him in his tracks. He landed several of them before Spence started to complain to the ref about low blows.Comment
