If I were Oscar I would just say, "Pacquiao was the better man on the night we fought." And leave it at that.
De La Hoya Praises Pacquiao's Speed, Not His Power

you midget friend claimed that DLH wasn't dehydrated in the fight, i'm just clearing that up for him. are you taking thing out of context for fun or do you have reading comprehension problems?Comment

and whats wrong with him saying he wasnt hurt...he didnt get rocked at all during the fight and ac was moving to much to set uop a solid punch anyway. it doesnt make him a liar becasue he didnt get hurt and hes not hating on Pac in anyway..the guy said he was fighting 10 guys..thats a pretty damn good compliment
its like any comment made about pac that doesnt have to do with his balls being in the persons mouth means they are hatersComment

whatever dlh was DRAINED. Pacquiao is good very good am a fan of his. Yes he worked DLH "at" 145 and another round Oscar would've gotten droppdmmaybe KTFO. BUT, put de la hoya in his reg weight 154 and he would have tore up pacquiao Blieve that, and i dnt like DLH, but thats the bottom line, but it was Oscars dumb ass that took that fight at that weight. So Oscar YOU GOT WORKED no excuses.Comment

Oscar De La Hoya says the speed of Manny Pacquiao is unbelievable. Pacquiao stopped the retired former champion last December in what was considered a major upset. Pacquiao battered De La Hoya during the fight, using his fast hands and quick movement to overwhelm the much bigger opponent. The win made Pacquiao a mega-star in the sport. [details]
yo face would disagree, lolzComment

He said Pac doesn't hit hard, which isn't true. Pac didn't hit him hard for most of the fight, but that's only because it was his gameplan to keep on the move the entire time. DLH is trying to pretend that Pac can't punch and that's just ridiculous.
And what's the point of saying he wasn't hurt, as if that meant anything, when Pac wasn't loading up on his punches? It's just an idiotic thing to say.Comment

Let me play devil's advocate here:
I think I see where De La Joto is coming from though. He has faced some of the most fearsome punchers of his era ie Mosley twice, Felix. He faced B-Hop, although not a ko puncher at MW or SMW but a hard puncher nonetheless and De La Joto was clearly outsized when he faced him.
I'm guessing, DLH was comparing PAC's power to fighters he has faced in the past. Maybe the interviewer should've asked how PAC's power was for a guy his size, what y'all think?Comment

I was thinking about this. It took him what? 5 rounds to beat the smaller and way lesser talent Arturo Gatti(RIP). That was Gatti pretty much getting beat around for 5 rounds doing not much in return although he tried. I think as Oscar's record shows vs the elite, he would have trouble even in his prime against Pacquiao despite still being the bigger man. I think Pac would have won a decision in it because Oscar wouldn't be drained so bad to quit.Comment

WoW he could'nt hurt dlh and he was drained, that's another reason y he was so hard to hit cause dlh was weak and drained that **** aint working with Cotto.Comment
