But seriously if the fight went another 2 rounds Pac might have stopped DLH but that is only through accumulation of punches. But DLH would still probably say Pac didnt hit hard. Hatton dont know if Pac hits hard cos he fell asleep when Pac loaded up.
    LOL!

And what's the point of saying he wasn't hurt, as if that meant anything, when Pac wasn't loading up on his punches? It's just an idiotic thing to say.
      Co-sign!

I agree with you Dave. It doesn't make any sense and DLH knows it that he will go down anytime soon. He was under the process of 'KILLING ME SOFTLY' :-D

        of course...

its just natural for ODLH to say that...

after being in the ring with hopkins, trinidad, mosley, vargas & mayorga...

all more powerful than MP IMO...

          Don't hate!

It's funny to see all you people get so damn angry and emotional whenever Oscar says anything in an article..lol
Why hate on a guy that was and still is good for the sport we love...
          10 time world champ,6 different divisions...END OF!

I think that Oscar has been in with some good punchers like Hopkins, Tito, Mosley, Vargas, Mayorga, JCC, Quartey... and bigger guys that it is believable that Pacman power didn't bother him as much. Manny put in some hard shots and he didn't go down.
He gave up on his stool, which was even more embarassing considering it was Oscar who pushed for a Manny fight. It was Oscar who chose the weight and therefore him being a zombie is his own doing. I think he tried to come in low to be able to chase Manny, but it worked really bad for him unfortunately.

Anyway Manny has good pop with his speed, and will hurt people when he connects, but hitting an A class fighter is another matter. Cotto is an A class fighter to me.

One simple Question Oscar: If you didn't get hurt, why quit?

Why did Duran quit vs Sugar Ray Leonard? He wasn't hurt at that point, but was frustrated and was unlikely to win. Oscar was taking a beating, and already made his money. He lost a lot of respect and pride, but he was still getting paid top dollar.

I seriously don't see and similarities between Duran quitting and De La Hoya quitting.

As for the "getting paid top dollar" comment. I don't think any fighter, especially a fighter of De La Hoya's status and history, would be thinking about money at that point in time.

I sincerely believe that money doesn't cross their mind at that point.

No fighter goes, "Hmmm my money is guaranteed. I'll just sit down."

Fighting is brutal and brings out the most raw of emotions and money is basically inconsequential at that point.
