Good win by Spence. I like both guys and I hope Ugas heals properly and continues to fight. He didn't look like the same fighter who owned Manny. At the same time Spence got hit more times than he should have.

So now the question is who does Spence meet? He could be undisputed with Crawford, but Staniosis stepped aside so Ugas could unify. Spence might have Stanoisis as mandatory or get stripped. Stand by.

neither of those guys are blameless, because neither of them removed all obstacles... , like Haney just did, when he desperately wanted to fight Kambosos... but I still blame Spence more than I blame Crawford... Crawford should have been smarter, and he should have kept his mouth shut... but Spence 100% knew the situation with Arum, and he 100% knows that Crawford is willing and able to make that fight now


Spence aint scared, like some little schoolkid... that kind of talk is just ******... he will obviously fight Crawford... when he is ready, and when the time is right... but up to this point, Spence has wanted that fight less than Crawford has wanted it... Spence erected the first - and largest - roadblocks... and he did that because he is receiving very smart/professional advice, and because he always had more/better options than Crawford... those options - up to and including, his last fight with Ugas - have been better business decisions, and better for his career/legacy, than making the Crawford fight at this point in time


when there is a room full of people that you want/need to fight... and every time you say a name, you risk EVERYTHING that you have... and one of those guys just so happens to be... CLEARLY more skilled, CLEARLY more well-rounded, CLEARLY better in every department, so CLEARLY more dangerous... than everyone else in the room... then, you leave that guy to last


this is how I see it...


1) since Crawford first moved up to welter to fight Horn for the WBO strap, he has only entered the ring on 5 occasions... ALL of those fights were promoted by Top Rank, and it is clearly obvious that Bobfather had very little interest in making a unification with Spence

2) Spence does not have too many options left at welter

3) I would bet my life that Spence and Crawford would rather face each other for a TOP payday, and for all the marbles, rather than be forced to defend against Ennis... for average money, and for no marbles

4) Spence aint comfortable making 147, and I am 100% positive that he will fight Crawford before moving up to JMW

5) Crawford does not have too many options at welter either... because Spence has beaten most of them, and the young guys coming up don't bring anything to the table at this point


because of those 5 factors, I think that the fight will happen within the next 6-12 months


people need to chill out, stop whining, and start being realistic... the fight will obviously happen, and it will likely happen soon

I truly hate the Hagler/Hearns comparisons to this fight... or any comparison really... different time, different era, different landscape... but, Spence/Crawford definitely could be a modern classic... it will be the most anticipated matchup since Mayweather/Pacquiao... and because of styles/timing, it will be a better fight


two supremely skilled cold-blooded killers... facing their destiny, with EVERYTHING on the line
