Conor Benn just needs to fight Avanesyan

Just get it over with. He got a decent enough chance to win.

He won’t fight him. That’s very clear.

    I can’t understand why. It’s a winnable fight and he’s ranked #8.

    The fight makes perfect sense.

Instead they’re looking at unranked fighters like Broner.

Broner doesn't even throw punches. The bub le wrap needs to come off Benn. He's got enough power to take a gamble.

It's such an obvious fight to make. I have no interest in Connir fighting Broner at all.

Hearn worried he’ll get Josh Kelly’d. Which, speaking of, would be a very lucrative alternative domestic matchup if they could get Kelly on board.

Not Happening! When Eddie asked about it he seems to get annoyed and offended by the question and proceed to make every excuses as to WHY he is not interested in making it

...and then Avanesyan left for Queensbury, which now makes the fight more difficult to make. Ava doesn't appear any closer to a title shot, but Warren will keep him on a stay-busy diet until he does.

Hearn is clearly building Benn's profile, and the matchmaking reflects that: Formella, Vargas, Granados, Algeri, van Heerden. All of these are former opposition of the biggest and best fighters at WW. Avanesyan should be next, as he's been in there with Mean Machine. If Benn beats Avanesyan easier than Mean Machine, then it'd be another demonstration of Benn's ability.

The issue is....what happens after he beats Avanesyan?

Mikey Garcia? Hearn threw Mikey in there which never really crossed my mind but i like it.Mikey has a good relationship with Hearn/DAZN and even though he took an L against Sandor,he still has the recognition that could really propel Benn should it get made and he wins. Mikey isn't fighting Ramirez or Zepeda as they're good friends. He isn't getting Taylor or Teo for obvious reasons and Isnt fighting the top welters.Only big fight for Mikey would be Regis but even then I'm sure Mikey would accept a far bigger purse in Benn should it be offered.

Mikey probably won't want to lose the extra 7lbs to face Prograis. Regis is also more battle-tested than Benn, so he's potentially a tougher out. However, will Matchroom want to pay Mikey's asking price? They've already over-paid him enough.
