His getting criticism of what his saying and by watching him fight you can see his nowhere near his father at the same age. He looks poor and I really can't see the potential, he also got gifted a decision last year on a fight he clearly lost and alot of people thought it was due to his father's name. There seems to be alot of ex fighters sons in the game at least you can see the potential unlike Connor. He should work on improving instead of rambling off on one. Again last nights fight he was tagged so easily his got no real defence and as soon as he steps his opposition up he will be exposed.

Look I agree he doesn't look amazing at this stage. Yes his defence needs lots of work. I'm not saying he's gonna be the next Ricky Hatton. And he's not gonna be as good as his dad at the same stage either. Probably not in the long run either. But he's not exactly running his mouth off. He's being interviewed and he's expressing his hopes and dreams. Being the son of a successful dad doesn't give him a divine right to success, but I'm sure he realises that. His dad had a good amateur pedigree, but he has a very limited amateur background. So to make comparisons is ridiculous. And if you read what he's saying, he said it won't be quick. He's a massive work in progress and its gonna take a lot of time because he hasn't that amateur grounding. But that's excepted by them, and,any reasonable fight fan who isn't overly critical and expecting the finished article in half a dozen fights. One good thing here is his uncle Matthew. Because he had success at European level and was never the same as Ricky, but has fought at the top and knows the game. I don't know how good a trainer he is, but he's been at a more moderate level, and knows the struggles, so that might rub of well on Campbell. Campbell may struggle at domestic level but he's young, and basically an inexperienced amateur in the pro game. So people need to lighten up on him and not expect miracles, until the kid learns a bit. And I for one am prepared to give the kid a chance. And I'll point out, I wasn't even particularly a big fan of his dad, so I'm not blinded by that. If Campbell is just another kid, people get behind him. But because his dad's famous, people want to run him down. It's ridiculous.

Eliminate this English-Bum's connection to Ricky Hatton and nobody would watch Campbell's sorry ass.
Three words. Nico, Ali, and Walsh. It happens everywhere. Deal with it.
