    Not true in a sense.

Scenario.....who puts up the money and takes the financial risk to put the show on? Promoters do.

I understand that when you get to PPV level you reallly don't need a promoter per say because the networks do most of the promoting but what about the 1st 20 fights or so? Who foots the bill for that? I would say it is more of a partnership between the fighter and promoter where as the promoter extends himself financially to build a fighter and makes his return should the fighter rise to the top and make championship levels.

mr.counterfeit cash doesnt get the megastar status because he doesnt have a exciting style & doesnt fight the best. Not only does he not fight the best, but when he does fight its boring & is not a overwhelming & not pleasing to the eye.

Add the douche bag jerk off fake thug personality = no love.

There have been plenty of jerk off black sports personalities. charles barkley, dennis rodman, terrel owens, michael vick. What's the difference between those guys & mr.counterfeit cash?

They are all exciting to watch & they cant cherry pick their opposition.

          On a personal note:
How can you hate a man so deeply without knowing him personally is beyond me. Don't let the hate for FMJ be your sole reason for living.

          • I like a rebel who said we have to conform to the "man" u know what i mean.

Screw the man ie; arum and all white execs. I aplaud you money may for being a puppet. Manny pac is a puppet that guy doesnt evan answer his questions in interviews and he has the worse deal in boxing. I like money may because he marches to the beat of his own drum.

                • "I'm reading a lot of people comparing floyd to other greats in other sports. There is no comparison when it comes to another sport. All other sports don't get in ring and put thmeselves in harms way. So let's compare boxers and nonheavyweights.

Roy Jones Jr was highly athletic in his prime and did things I never seen in the ring and din't get the love and the fame that he should have.

Pernell Whitaker also was another fighter who didn't get the fame he deserved for all the marvelous things he accomplished.

only SRL got the fame and true recognition on a global scale that was black and a non heavyweight.

if there is another black non-HW that reached superstardom...please let me know!!"

Roy, spent years fighting people that were not considered big draws, he searched for that career defining fight but sadly never got it. This search result in him going up to heavyweight and suffering when he came back down. Thats why he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Not his skin. He never got the chance to really prove himself, to me because he was too good for his own good in his prime.

Pernell, fought the best and recieves widespread recognition from boxing purists. He didn't have the pull of someone like MIKE TYSON because he wasn't knocking people out. He was boxing them and outsmarting them. His fall from grace was almost as quick as Roy's due to his drug taking. Thats why he doesn't get great amounts of recognition from those outside boxing.

I love Floyd, and how he really irritates people as part of his persona. This however, is too far for me. I've lost my respect for Mayweather. He needs to prove himself to become great, not come up with unfounded reasons as to why he isn't considered great.

if he wasnt black he would be more loved and respected in amercia, only becase he likes to speak his mind and express his opinion people always jump on his back.he is a boxer and if you want to judge him on what he does and thats box and win fights, then right now he is the greatest.
