why wasn't more done to promote the undercard?

you would think golden boy promotions, having stacked the card, would've done more to advertise it. I keep seeing news clips about Mayweather & Marquez but haven't heard a damn thing about how Katsidis, Escobedo, Juarez, or John are doing in training. The least they could've done is put a 5 second clip in the commercials about the under card. This is why when people buy a boxing PPV they think they are paying to see one fight and one fight only. How is our sport supposed to grow if you aren't giving the guys on the under cards of big events a chance to get some publicity and as a result get some hype of their own in the mainstream.

they could've done something on 24/7 too.. I know it's mainly supposed to be about the two main fighters but I think they should expand on it and check up on some of the other fighters, at least just for a little segment.

I know a lot of people who watch the 24/7 shows.. I think that if they put a little segment on how Katsidis after having lost to Casa is so hungry that he will be fighting on his birthday, people would like that kind of thing.

Boxing promoters are behind the times. That little segment idea on the undercard fighters sounds perfect, but it's too innovative for boxing promoters. A boxer/attention whore (Mayweather) had to invent a new marketing idea.

how are you supposed to get them to mean something if you don't promote them?

They should have had a 2 min segmant during each 24 7 show promoting it. This is actually a very very good card.
