I honestly don't see why everyone hates the young guys. I root for the new breed no matter where they're from of they have skills. I'd love to see Benn fight David.A next. Ortiz, Boots, C.Benn, Butaev, and Stanionis all need to fight guys like Danny Avanesyan, Porter, Thurman, etc before going after bud and Spence.
How tf is Thurman a bad fight but you guys want him to fight others who haven't fougt anyone (Boots or Ortiz). Sounds like some hater stuff if you ask me.
Boots is about to fight Clayton and Ortiz was fighting McKinson for Gods sake. How is any of the guys mentioned above, bad for Benn but those are okay for the best two young guys.
Great next fight for Benn, Ortiz or Boots would be any of the following for me:
Thurman, Ugas if lose, Porter, Danny.G, Buraev vs Stanionis winner, Avanesyan or even Kell or Taylor for a money fight.

Don’t mind that they’ve moved Benn at this pace. He’s young and raw. Exciting, too, at his current level mopping up the there-for-a-paycheck crew.
We’ll see what “elite” means to Eddie. I doubt he’ll move Conor any faster than his own shaky business prospects dictate.Comment

There couldn't be a more logical fight than that one. Avanesyan is ranked #8, out of everyone else in the Top 10, that's probably the most winnable fight for him.
Is it a risk? Of course. That's normal, when you fight people in the Top 10, it's a risk. Instead people would rather him not take risks and fight unranked guys because he's "young"Makes zero sense.
Funny thing is, when Avenesyan fought Josh Kelly, Conor Benn was ringside working for Sky and they were building up heavily for Conor to fight the winner, which they all thought was going to be Josh Kelly, then after he lost, all of a sudden it's off the table.
It's ridiculous, the Avanesyan fight is what should be happening this weekend, instead we get a joke of a fight against Van Heerden. But hey, that is modern day boxing.Comment
