Some is just bad luck, I mean there are so many college footbal players that wrecked an ACL and never finished college football much less get a shot at the NFL. Same thing. We never got to see Pirog-GGG for example because of his back.

champ, I actually know him personally. He did have 2 surgeries, then got married and wanted time. Just like most any professional boxer he hasn't had a break since being a kid. I believe he is really mad that he fell off the lists and such and is really willing to do what's necessary to make it back to the top. It's his last run at it and both feet seem to be in.

Yes, very little love or sympathy here for Third Person Thurman, and deservedly so; he is where is because he did what he did.

Why isn't he calling for No Pay Cut Crawford?

As an unabashed Thurman fan, I get his point. He's lamenting that he didn't keep up his end of the deal by losing to Pacman. But, I agree with everyone else on here who says the most logical path for him to get where he wants to be is to go after Crawford (who I'm also an unapologetic fan of) and the WBO belt. If he doesn't feel he's ready yet and needs another fight, that's totally acceptable (and what I think he should do). But, he needs to get that fight scheduled ASAP.

Thurman is OK, I liked him a little bit back in the day before he got too big for his britches and started fighting average guys once every 2 years. But his line, "I'm here to show I'm one of the best welterweights in the world today". LOL! Way to aim high, Keith! Man, you're talking some tall cotton, considering you already were an undefeated WW champion for quite awhile and were good enough to secure a PPV fight with Pacquaio. I thought he was going to at least say, "in this era" or "of all time". LOL

Man, I love seeing the tables turn the way they have. Thurman never gave Spence an opportunity. Spence continued to do his thing and now Spence is in the drivers seat while Keith is far back in the rear view mirror. Spence does not have to honor Keith in anyway just the way Keith never acknowledged Spence. Now that Spence has the trinkets, Keith is like, waaaait, Spence!!! What about meeee???? Gtfo out Keith and sit down.

When's the last time Thurman beat someone in the Top 10?

Beat a top ranked fighter again and you'll get your shot.

this is what Spence was talking about...

you have fans scrambling and just making up very weird conspiracy theories about his tweet when it is about PBC continuing to try and push Thurman in front of him as some sort of alternative over the Crawford fight of course IF he even beats Ugas
