Comments Thread For: Arum On Kinahan: We're Gonna Follow Our Government; Can't Have Business With The Guy

Bob Arum will adhere to the United States government's mandate related to business dealings with Daniel Kinahan. The 90-year-old promoter, who was an attorney for the U.S. Justice Department during the Kennedy administration, told BoxingScene.com on Tuesday that his boxing company, Top Rank Inc., has ended any business dealings with Kinahan, a manager and adviser who has been the most controversial figure in boxing over the past several years.

But I thought Daniel is just a nice, preppy businessman from Ireland.

So if a MTK boxer is mandatory to Bob Arum's Toprank champion, then that means Bob Arum has to win the purse-bid to host the event? Because if the rival promoter representing MTK wins the bid then that would mean that the Toprank fighter is on his own and prey for the mob in Dubai?

I doubt that Mauricio Sillyman is going to boycott MTK boxers so we might have a serious 'Probellum'.

This is the first time I have ever heard of any persons who were involved in violent crime ever having anything to do with the fight game. Amazing. Clay never turned his back on his country. Hopkins never broke a single law. Yea I hear you thats diferent. It is about money then favors and power. Choose a side that is fine with me, but dont throw your support where it will benifit the promoter the most in his pockets and his untouchable reputation.

Unfortunately it's not the first time. Just google names such as Frankie Carbo, Blinky Palermo, Don King for starters, and go ahead from there...
