At people saying Golovkin is a "shell" of his formal self. He actually showed better defense to me this time out after bringing Jonathan Banks to his corner. Bellew just thinks since Usyk handed him his ass, that the same should happen to Golovkin against Canelo. It didn't happen against Murata, so Tony can only say GGG looked bad. He KO'd the guy in the 9th, so how bad did he look, really? Is Golovkin getting older? Sure, but Canelo isn't getting any younger and he hasn't fought Bivol yet.

I'm not seeing it that way, I might be in the minority but I believe GGG will still give Canelo issues. Yes, GGG looked a bit slow and it does look like age is catching up a bit, but let's also take in consideration that he was coming off a long lay off and looked a little rusty, but I believe he will be more up for the Canelo fight, he shook of the rust and won. I also believe the fact that Canelo and GGG went 24 fairly even rounds and in boxing, there's always an opponent that brings out the best out of a fighter and gives you issues, and that seems to be the case for these 2. GGG going up in weight will either make him stronger since he doesn't have to cut down, but Canelo also has been fighting at 168 or above so we will find out how GGG responds to that. All that said, I fully expect Canelo to win more clearly this time around, just for the simple fact that it seems he's peaking and well, GGG is 40, there's so many dynamics in this fight and Canelo knocking out GGG is certainly possible, it would not surprise me, but I expect a hard fought 12 round fight with Canelo winning a clearer decision, maybe he knocks GGG down, who knows but I expect a good fight because they don't like each other.

You goons will be screaming for years afterwards about the first 2 fights after the 3rd fight, which will not end well for the old man. It's truly pathetic and embarrassing how dishonest you are being here.
G fan here. I agree that GGG will lose this time convincingly, unless he pulls Klitschko vs AJ somehow. Which is not very likely - G was off in his fight with Murata. There, you saw an honest GGG fan. Now your turn: let's be honest, Canelo fought GGG when he started sliding - at 35 no professional athlete can be in their prime. Canelo lost. Pure and simple. Then they fought again - prime Canelo vs 37 y.o. GGG. A draw is fair, I'd dispute GGG's loss though, but a draw is fair. The point is Canelo waited GGG out. Like he always does with elite, dangerous fighters - Canelo "are you 35 already?" Alvarez. Cotton, Mayweather, GGG, Kovalev, likely Beterbiev. And no, I don't put Saunders onto the same pedestal as the above mentioned. He's not on their level, even though he was in his prime when he fought Canelo. I'd love to see an imaginary fight between current Canelo and 32 y.o. GGG - that would have been a fight! At this stage GGG has no chance, but he'll show a ton of heart - of that I'm sure. And will earn a butt load of money. And good for him.

I appreciate your honesty on how you saw the fights, I saw the 2nd a bit differently and also thank you for being respectful. I give GGG ther first fight to me it's 1-1. I can't lump you in with the rest. I agree if they were both the 32 for this upcoming fight we would have gotten a total war. Canelo did what 90% of young stars do, picked off the old names to build his own. Most are guilty of that although for Canelo it backfired with Floyd and the first GGG fight. He is at his peak now and has been on a rampage, just wish this fight would have happened much sooner. Thanks for your honesty and respectful response. I personally rather both men pass on a third. I like GGG but I am sure like it is with hardcore Canelo fans that fanbases turn people on some great fighters.

Let's be real. The fight gonna be like 8-4 or 9-3 UD win for Canelo. Need a cruiserweight power to KO GGG.

Canelo indeed has gotten better bigger and stronger.. ggg has not. Add the fact that Canelo genuinely dislikes ggg… and man.. I feel bad for the beating ggg is going to sign up for. I have a bad feeling about it, like he may get hurt to no return tule beating… smh. They shouldn’t let that fight happen

Bellew is unfortunately right and it’s the only reason Canelo is suddenly interested in the trilogy instead of facing a more legitimate threat. He remembers that a 36 yr old ggg still gave him all he could handle and required a little of the typical judges assistance to escape with the W. A 40 yr old ggg is less of a threat. Can’t remember a single “pound for pound king” fighting an inactive 40 yr old. Pretty shameful.

I don't really understand the logic that GGG is going to get battered in a 3rd fight. His output, every fight, even vs Derevychenko, is really high. He outworked Canelo fairly significantly in their 2 fights, and they weren't too long ago.

If it's a late KO, Canelo will have taken a lot of damage too and it will have been a great fight. I could see an early KO where GGG just isn't up for the fight yet at his age, and Canelo lands some body shots that end it or open some head shots up.

Low expectations should help GGG though. If he is even competitive, many will see it as a win for him.
