Comments Thread For: Errol Spence Admits Improved Focus Since Crash, Eye Injury, 'I Have New Sense Of Hunger'

Errol Spence Jr. is embracing the second lease on his life and boxing career. Spence has survived an uneven series of events following a spirited split decision win against Shawn Porter on Sept. 28, 2019. Spence was the IBF welterweight champion at the time and picked up Porter's WBC crown with the win.

That's what Errol Spence, said after his first DWI crash. His inner demon's are getting the better of him.
All this after his most grueling fight against Shawn Porter, did it leave a lasting effect in his psyche?
I still remember that fight, and nobody has ever come at Spence the way Porter did.
Forcing Spence to reach deep down within himself, to keep the bulldozer in front of him at bay.
I'm wondering if that particular fight set something off within Spence that we weren't, or aren't aware of.

I don't believe anything has improved after car crash, eye injury and long inactivity

We shall see at fight night if all his things come together against a sharp Ugas.

One thing is that Spence has this calm cool confidence in himself.

This must be the most promoted car crash ever.

This guy is a decent fighter. Nowhere close to as good as he thinks he is.

Had him losing to Porter. He looked drunk in that fight, which wouldn't be surprising if he actually was- considering he's a full blown drunk in between fights.

Been ducking Crawford for years(don't Care what anyone says). Talks a big game but he's see through. To True Elites He's food. To me he's basic.

Tired of hearing about your car accident... The eye injury was fairly recent so the talk of that is somewhat tolerable. Its still Just another excuse for when he loses badly to Crawford-if he grows the balls to fight him.

He may not get past Ugas who is absolutely capable of beating him. Will Ugas get a fair shake on the scorecards, should it go the distance-is the question.

I used to like Errol but after seeing the way he operates with picking fights and how he's all about the money, fighting just 2 times in 3-years, I've lost interest and respect. Eye injury or not, he should be way more active, apparently he was fully recovered by December.

He is the reason the masses are switching over to UFC. At least in that, you get big fights every other week and top fighters fight 3 times a year so your interest is maintained.

Spence looks like he aged alot after the crash. He looks old and doesnt look the same.

Im no longer interested in Crawford-Spence because Im very sure that Crawford wins.

That is true. Our lives can end anytime, or something can happen where a top athlete is injured and career ends.

Don't take anything for granted. Spence had learned this.

Well at least on introspection and reflection; Errol is now showing signs of emotional maturity and growth. Good for him; It should help him go a long way in his future endeavors.
