Great now the fight will get canceled because Gvozdyk knocks out Canelo in sparring.

Just kidding, I forgot this sport is a business not a sport. Canelo will be just as safe in the ring vs Bivol as he will be in sparring vs Gvozdyk. And they will be too.

Kovalev would be better sparring partner than Gvozdyk. Just watch Canelo vs Kovalev round 8. That’s how Bivol fights.

I remember hearing rumors that he wanted to come back for Smith Jr-Vaslov winner, but not a peep since. Teddy Atlas said on his podcast they had a April fight date planned & then the March 2020 COVID pandemic happened and that’s what pushed him to retirement or something along those lines.

My opinion, Bivol is a dangerous natural light-heavy warrior. But Canelo's speed, ring-smarts, defense, confidence and power are superior to that of Bivol's. In his long career, the Mexican super star has learned how to get in the inside, inflicting damage, which I think should be a key factor. Plus, Canelo's effective counter-punching will get the best out of Bivol. In fact, I think Canelo Alvarez's counter-punching technique has no match in the division; and getting such skilled fine-tuned with "The Nail" as a sparring partner is a fantastic idea. In conclusion, I see the Guadalajara fighter stopping Bivol in basically the same way he krushed Kovalev in that his first battle at 75. But now, with even more strength and experience, the popular "Cinnamon" should emerge victorious in thrilling fashion. On May 7, I wouldn't bet against him.

Silence: I love Canelo. He can have me anyway he wants.

Bad news skippy, I don’t think Canelo swings that way but you can keep putting on your pink lipstick and matching leotards and fantasizing.

They all spar a class or 2 above them so this is nothing new. The good big man always beats the good little. And we are still talking about a big man who stood toe-toe and took the power of huge 175s like Smith and Barrera but is going to get walked down by a 5'7 tainted meat-eating midget with a knee brace who wouldn't stop Angulo and Chavez Jr. About as fraudulent as it will ever get

Gvosdyk is nothing like Bivol. Gvosdyk can get drug into a brawl and Bivol can't. Gvosdyk uses way more lateral movement and Bivol is an in/out boxer. I love the guys saying Bivol has no power. This is more than likely going 12 rounds and I believe Bivol intends on boxing all 12.

its interesting. Bivol clearly has good power despite not stopping his last 7 opponents. I think its more down to his lack of aggression and killer mentality rather than lack of power. He has it when he needs it. Benavidez sparred him and said he has a very strong sneaky right hand, and he spent 4 years sparring a prime GGG. No way Canelo walks Bivol down like Plant. That is fantasy land.

Ginger Vegan sparring a retired fighter In the lead up to another one of his farce fights. Not surprising. Nothing he does is real anyway...
