It’s a good thing Murata’s team threw in the towel, because Murata is a true warrior and would have kept fighting until he couldn’t stand on his legs, and would take massive damage to his long term health for no good reason.

As for people saying GGG didn’t look to good, well he’s 40. But he also didn’t look so unusual. GGG is always willing to eat shots to trade in close and mid range.

There is also word of GGG twisting/spraining his ankle in training, which could be why he wasn’t as mobile as he could be.

Imo he looked quite good, especially after not fighting for so long.

I thought he looked rusty early but it was a good performance overall. His jab is still very effective and he still puts his power shots together well. He’s obviously not the same fighter he once was at 40 years old but he’s still the #1 middleweight in the world IMO.
