Come on. Murata’s resume consists of two C level wins (both times avenging losses to aforementioned C level fighters) and wins over a string of tomato cans.

He was never a world champion. He’s like one of those 80s/90s WBO “champions” that never fought outside of Germany.

He was asked about the low blows and before the interviewer even finished his sentence Ward replied "I did what I had to do to win!" Didn't even deny it. Same for Tyson vs Holyfield. He bullied the bully. If Tyson was the baddest man on the planet he should've bullied and fouled Holyfield right back. At the end of the day winning is winning. How many rabbit punches has Wilder thrown in his career? The knockdowns against Stiverne in the 2nd fight were preceded by a blatant shot behind the head. Something he told the ref but the ref somehow missed and denied. The 2nd knockdown in the 3rd Fury fight was also a blatant rabbit punch while holding Fury's head (something he must've learned from Fury). Murata was doing what he had to do to win. Can't blame someone for trying. I'm not endorsing fighting dirty but it beats losing lol...
Your point reminds me of the fight with Morrell vs that other guy who tried to sue him. I can't recall all the details, but the other guy was doing some type of dirty tactics and Morrell gave t back to him, and won. At the time I thought it made Morrell look kinda bad, but changed my mind upon reconsidering.

It's one thing to get beat fairly. It's another to get beat by dirty tactics because you were trying to be clean and proper. I can see an argument for both sides.

Yeah I mean everyone wipes their ass with an Olympic Gold medal right? No reason to put that on his resume, everyone has one of those. Lets see your resume lol. People are so quick to cast aspersions from behind their keyboards...

Lots of Olympic champions are garbage pros. Murata was one of them. Got handed a pretend world title on a silver platter due to his level of fame in Japan... it still took him two tries to pick it up. He absolutely ****** and accomplished nothing in his career... the only highlight is getting KO'd by Golovkin.

Lots of good boxers come out of Asia, but when there's a pretender these weird ass weaboo boxing fans always give them more credit than they deserve. If Murata was Mexican or Black he'd have been a punchline around here.

He got his title off a top 10 opponent at least. Not Walter Kautondokwa and via email. So I wonder how he’s any worse than Charlo and Andrade.

Won't know - Andrade's joke of a resume looks like Oscar de la Hoya's compared to Muratas.
