I'm a Canelo fan, but I do not see him walking through GGG. Canelo's last last 3 opponents have no power. People are really being deluded into thinking Canelo will be invincible in the ring against GGG. GGG might be 40, but he's still a power puncher. Canelo is not going to just walk through a world class fighter/boxer with power - as this is the case with GGG. The only way this fight becomes easy, will be if GGG turns old on the night of.

I do think Canelo has fallen in love with power punching enough over his last several fights that he probably would fight GGG toe to toe which, of course, would give GGG his best shot at this stage. I would love to see GGG take it to Canelo and beat him officially this time, but I just don't think he has the engine anymore. Murata had him breathing hard after just a couple of rounds. I still don't think Canelo KO's him outright, but he could get a TKO stoppage if he starts to tee off on a very tired GGG. We'll see what happens. Canelo still has to get by Bivol first which is not at all a certainty.I'm a Canelo fan, but I do not see him walking through GGG. Canelo's last last 3 opponents have no power. Canelo doesn’t need GGG, it’s the other way around. They already fought twice, then GGG stayed at 160 and fought cab driver after cab driver instead of moving up and making some great fights at 168.Anyone who has any knowledge of boxing knows that Tim is right. Which is what makes this so shameful. Wasn’t bad enough that canelo waited 2 yrs to face ggg the first time or got caught cheating leading into the second fight. Once he realized that he couldn’t even have his way with a 36 yr old ggg, he convinced his simple fan base that he won convincingly and there wasn’t a need for a third fight. Only to change his mind 4 yrs later and take on the 40 yr old ghost version of ggg, not too dissimilar from the ghost version of Kovalev that he faced. Now someone tell me again how ggg a more dangerous option than facing Benavidez in sept?
Canelo can’t win with you guys. You’ve already made excuses for the first two fights, and now already for the third when GGG gets battered because he’s ‘too old’ - it couldn’t be anything to do with Canelo’s continued improvements because that would be giving him credit.Comment

the actual reality is you canelo fans will defend anything he does. Other than you whining in your reply, you’re unable to disprove anything I wrote. Did canelo drop his title instead of facing ggg when the fight should’ve happened? Yes. Did he wait for ggg to turn 35 and then get a gift draw? Yes. Did he get caught taking banned substances leading into the rematch? Yes. Did he “win” a controversial split decision? Yes. Did he state multiple times after that how his chapter with ggg is closed and there isn’t a need for a 3rd fight? Yes. Did he now wait 4 years to agree to a 3rd fight like a hypocrite? Yes. Is ggg obviously a shell of what he used to be now that he’s 40 and has taken tons of punishment? Yes. Like you said, ggg hasn’t done anything since the rematch so why is canelo fighting him instead of a Benavidez or beterbiev at this moment? Allow me to answer that, it’s because there’s less risk involved. Just like every calculated decision that has been made for canelo for years now. Minimize risk and fool you simple minded fan boys.

wow people really do some to think that canelo suddenly turned into some monster after 50 odd fights and into his 30s lol. all thats happened is hes fought made to measure opponents. he looked like crap against the only half decent recent opponent he fought (jacobs), won by 1 round and barely landed anything of note i had it as a drawComment
