Kimbo trashes boxing but only wants to punch? Interview excerpt.

First off I'm sorry for posting about a non boxer, but it pertains to boxing IMO. According to the following interview excerpt, Kimbo insults boxing, then implies MMA is better but he only wants to punch and not grapple? So essentially what he's saying is he wants to use his fists against lesser opponents.. If he only wants to punch he should be boxing. What does everyone think of his statement? Here are his comments:

Interviewer: "What do you make of all the attention the show(Ultimate Fighter) has been getting?"

Kimbo: "It’s heavyweights, man. It’s bigger than boxing and that’s what it mainly is. I don’t want to say that I’m bringin' all this attention; it’s the heavyweights. People love to watch big dudes just ****in', you know, sluggin' it out. I don’t think people wanna see big guys rolling around and wrestling and punching each other on the floor. The ground game is great but that ain't really my thing. If I get a guy down, I’m gonna signal him to get back up and finish the fight. I don’t want to get on the ground and have people rubbin' up on me. Nah, I don’t want that."

Sounds to me like he's saying he doesn't want to deal with grappling yet doesn't want to box? So essentially he wants to punch, but against the less skilled punchers of MMA. He wants the easy road. That's like saying he wants to be a homerun hitter but the pitcher shouldn't throw curve balls or off speed pitches cause he doesn't hit them well.

He probably also offends Dana White and the UFC bunch since he's also insinuating that the rolling around portion of MMA is boring/****. That statement is only considerate of himself. I kind of find Kimbo entertaining and sadly, I may tune in just to get a closer look at Slice's personality but.. this statement makes him look bad to both sports.

Basically, he's saying that he wants to keep a fight standing, and that he feels like people like to see the heavies stand up and ****, as opposed to doing ground work.
