anyone who thinks bivol is a cherry pick-

    Simply doesn't watch boxing--

Bivol has the ability to easily upset canelo and is a top fighter right now-

Canelo has by far the best resume in the sport-

Fighters that complain are just looking for that pay day

Canelo is on his way to being one of the best fighters of all time and is doing things Floyd mayweather wouldn't dream of doing-

Aside from manny pacman what fighters have jumped up this many weight classes and been this successful?

The Russian is the Mexican's toughest fight. This is a war.

Cherry pick is the most ridiculously used term amongst boxing fans at the moment.

Garcia vs Salka was a cherry pick, fighting an undefeated champion like Bivol is anything but a cherry pick.

Do you have to be underdog for it to not be deemed cherrypick? But even though nel o is favourite it is taking a risk as he's fighting someone much bigger in stature, and unbeaten and if bivol loses, he will not be seen as exposed and people expect he still has good career ahead of him

Bivol has the best chance out of everyone right now without a doubt.

            Just haters sipping that hatoraid.
Bivol was a guy they were saying Canelo would never fight. Then when it was close to being signed they said he’ll pull a catch weight or rehydration. Neither happened.
So now for their mental health they have to downplay him.
Im going to the fight and can’t wait but Bivol is by no means a soft touch at 175.
I was saying Canelo was going to easily beat BJS and Plant.
I think he’ll win but it definitely won’t be an easy fight.

              Indeed.

he’s an excellent fighter. he’s had lacklustre performances but some very good fighters do when they’re not motivated or don’t fear the opponent. His best performances have been against his best opponents and that’s what matters, it means they move through the levels if needed.

does it mean he has enough levels to beat Canelo? that remains to be seen but if anyone thinks he hasn’t got the skill set to give Canelo real problems, they don’t know what they’re looking at.

This is a real fight in my opinion, one I’m most looking forward to.

I’ve always had a strong feeling that we haven’t seen anywhere near the best of Bivol yet. Beterbiev never seemed really to want to fight him. I give Canelo credit for fighting him.

After the Kovalev fight my brother was waxing poetic about Canelo's greatness in moving up to 175. I was quite dismissive and stated more or less that if Canelo was really chasing greatness there are much tougher fights at 175; namely Bivol or Beterbiev. Canelo promptly moved back down in weight and how right I felt.

Well, I'm eating crow now. Canelo is taking a huge risk here and kudos to him. Bivol is a very, very good fighter. I've stated many times I think him the most technically pure boxer in the sport today. Canelo may have bitten off more than he can chew with this one, and yes he does deserve massive credit for making this fight. I think Bivol is going to take Saul to school. We'll see next month. I can't wait.

hes not a cherry pick but hes not really beat anyone of note, not sure why hes suddenly considered elite cause he beat a well past prime pascal and bum smith jr. i dont really see him causing canelo many problems at all, made to measure another slow stiff white fighter, up and down no special effects.pretty clear hes ducking slick, fast fighters now
