Funny how boxers are “man of their word” only when you’re able to take advantage of them and have them sign a deal favorable to the promoters.Comment

I don't understand it either.
Eddie Hearn didn't renew his contract, which Haney didn't welcome gleefully. He's been a free agent for months and no promoter has taken interest in signing him. He wanted to stick with Hearn through thick and thin, but Eddie can only provide him with Gamboa-level opponents. Where else would he go?
What is laughable is he gets the same amount Lomachenko would have gotten. I mean seriously. He's worth the same as Loma? You gotta be kidding me.Comment

was it indentured servitude when lomachenko was agreeing to the same stipulations? because we all know haney is worth as much as lomachenkoLou DiBella says to give Haney, and his dad credit for being a man of his word, and he proved it (yeah by giving into your extortionist demands).
The hell with the credit pay the man, and don't make him agree to indentured servant type stipulations.
Haney's earning less than Kambosos in their first fight, and if he beats Kambosos he'll earn less in the rematch as well.
On top of that both fights are taking place in Kambosos' hometown/country, even worse DiBella has options on Haney's next 2 fights after that.
Lou DiBella isn't just a ****** pig, he's a conniving thief of mafioso type proportions, if you ever meet this sob you'll see what I mean.
He made Haney sign away to years of his boxing career to him for the right to fight for the unification of all the titles at 135 pounds.

anyway, ausitralian fans dont know haney but they can go back and watch the "ill never lose to a whiteboy" comments and get a nice introduction to this upstanding man of his wordLast edited by YOU WILL LOSE; 04-01-2022, 12:59 PM.Comment

Haney hadn’t done anything to deserve the scorn he gets.
It isn’t his fault Loma dropped the belt rather than fight him.
He kept his word and took a crappy deal just to become champ- yet we still get people criticizing him.
Hope he wins and makes all these irrational haters eat crow.Comment

Loma has more name recognition and fanbase, Haney supposedly has a title. This clear the undisputed mess and they will be no questions if there is a winner at the end of the fight.I don't understand it either.

Haney is not marketable at the moment and these fighters now a days ask more what they are worth. If Haney thinks he got the shorter deal to get the fight kudos to him.
There is really no where to go to get paid as much and a fight that is so meaningful and winning will open more doors.Comment

Boxing is no more a sport; plainly it is all about business, the money that these promoters can rob the fighters. Bob and Debella didn't want Haney, Debella expressed that from Jumb street. They are more interested in fighters of other races. They consider the black fighters to be high risks with little rewards. Listen, outside of Floyd Mayweather, American black fighters are not appreciated and recognized. It is pure racism. Black fighters are too skillful for their own good.Comment
