Comments Thread For: Kambosos: I Could've Fought Anybody In Stadium Fight, But I Went For One Of Best Names
George Kambosos Jr. just wouldn't have felt right about boxing an unknown underdog in his first fight as a unified lightweight champion.

True we all knew you were going to fight one of the top guys, but you gotta take your hat of to Haney he accepted the most one-sided contract ever to get the fight, the rematch clause must be fought in Aus again with Kambo getting the same purse deal as he is now as Champ, that's unreal that Haney agreed.

It's unreal he agreed to the same deal Loma agreed to?
I remember way back when, after the last time Triller wanted to postpone Lopez-Kambosos, and Kambosos said "no" to the last minute change of date and George was drawing flak from most people about it since he wouldn't just take the additional $ and get it on. I said back then that Kambosos must be serious about putting himself in the best position to win that fight, because you train to peak at a certain time and he wasn't having the change of date because of that. I admit, I still didn't think he'd win, but he had the winning mindset. And that is crucial. And now here we are. And he's still proving to have that mindset to be the best. To take the challenges. He may still not win against Haney - personally, I think it's 50/50 - but he has the attitude of a champion. That goes a long way.
And, yes, Kudos to Haney for doing what he has to do, too. Self belief. Doing what it takes. Both of these guys have my respect.

Reason: I had a "with" in there when it should have said "win".
