If Haney gets a win under these circumstances, I will give him much respect. This is doing it the hard way.

I know a few here saying Kam would take an easy at home stay busy fight. Nope. He's going after the top guys in his division. It's a 50 50 fight in my head.

Credit to both men for getting this one done. Looking forward to it.

I said back then that Kambosos must be serious about putting himself in the best position to with that fight, because you train to peak at a certain time and he wasn't having the change of date because of that. I admit, I still didn't think he'd win, but he had the winning mindset. And that is crucial. And now here we are. And he's still proving to have that mindset to be the best. To take the challenges. He may still not win against Haney - personally, I think it's 50/50 - but he has the attitude of a champion. That goes a long way.

And, yes, Kudos to Haney for doing what he has to do, too. Self belief. Doing what it takes. Both of these guys have my respect.
Nobody really gave him a chance, and the fight was being mocked on here.

I watched one of his fights vs Selby and? I thought to myself. If Lopez Junior is having issues at the weight, this man is going to take rounds off him.

I predicted that he would go the distance, and be competitive.

I was not clued up on the weight class in depth, and just came to this decision by watching a few of his fight.

Kombosos Junior is solid at the weight, strong and has good fitness. Where as most other fighters are weight draining themselves extensively to be the big man.

Haney is probably another fighter, who weight drains himself to be the big man. It really does dilute the competition in the lower weight divisions.

The same day weigh in's, would improve all lower weight classes. Fighters would be fitter, and have no excuses.

Props To You…unlike Tank - more than willing to challenge the very best in Loma and Haney and risk that 0!! With Lopez and Haney, resume will already be Superior to Davis sad list of b-level opponents and old past it name fighters.

Good observations. As for weigh in's, maybe there should be some limits for weight gains on the day of the fight (2nd day weigh ins) like they have in some situations (IBF for title fights, for instance). But, everyone is under the same rules. Some choose to gain as much weight as possible and deal with the consequences, others prefer to stay closer to their natural weight and gain the benefits of that, with Lopez-Kambosos being a prime example of both types. And some fighters will always find an excuse.
