In the end, Devin Haney was not going to let any potential contractual hang-ups get in the way of an opportunity to inscribe his name in the record books.

Well, that's what you're supposed to do when you are the challenger, you take less now, to make more in the future. That's the way it's supposed to be, nowadays dudes want big paydays before they put in their dues, so I'll give Haney props for taking a risk to build for the future.
Devin Haney is a bad man! He's super bad! I wish more fighters had the balls the size of Devin "The Dream" Haney. Now this is what I call a fan friendly fighter.
A fighter who gives boxing fans the fights that they want to see and doesn't allow the lack of money, purse splits, platforms or any other type of obstacle to stand in the way from making them happen.
He is a throwback to the Oscar De La hoya, Pernell Whitaker, Sugar Ray Leonard and the Julio Cesar Chavez' days. These men fought whoever was placed in front of them regardless of money or purse splits. They fought for legacy and for the love of the game.
Good for Haney, that's the attitude you need to have at that stage. Youthful ambition cam be extremely powerful but it can also be reckless. I think this is a close fight, but I hope that if Haney didn't get the decision that he doesn't lose his confidence and self belief, that's what happens a lot these days when young fighters lose, they don't understand that it's a part of the process.
All the greats came back from losses.
Ain't that the mutha fuckin truth? He's such a bum that both Loma, Ryan Garcia and Teo Lopez all ducked him and you wonder know why? It's because he is just that fucking bloody good
A lot of respect for Haney. To agree to go to Australia, knowing if it goes the distance, you can't trust those judges, that's something.
Speaks to his confidence in his skill and will to overcome. Ordinarily you would say Haney would always beat Kambosos, but in Australia, with the other variables, it's not straight forward.
