Well... judging by their first fight in 2017 where the common consensus was a 116-112/115-113 Golovkin win, I'd have put my life savings on GGG doing the same a year earlier.

Also, has it ever occurred to you to an already heavy handed fighter at 160lbs might just carry that up with him to 168lbs and become an even more powerful puncher? Canelo is going to have the luxury of finding this out if he gets past Bivol. Don't be surprised if you see your boy getting wobbled/knocked off balance by jabs is all I'm saying!

This article is trash. Why does it excuse GGG never taking a meaningful fight in his career. Canelo is the only championship level fighter he’s ever fought besides a career 147lbr kell brook. Every truly great MW fought in more than just the MW division. Hopkins Taylor Pavlik Martinez cotto(not even a truly great MW but did win the lineal title). Canelo. They all either moved up to MW or moved up to fight other champions. GGG not only somehow managed to avoid all the aforementioned fighters while also never challenging himself against a champion from a division higher his. He’s a one division bum crusher.prime Kelly Pavlik would’ve laid GGG out on a stretcher. Hopkins would’ve made him look amateur. Trinidad sleeps him. De le Hoya should school him. Prime Sergio Martinez would’ve hurt him too. GGG gets hit a lot.I’ve watched his whole career he was busy crushing European cab drivers while the greats were in America fighting the best.
