Major props to Shakur this is how it should be done fight the best for legacy and the big money comes later with the risks, hoping this calculated gamble pay off and Shakur becomes a legendary superstar he has the skills and personality to be the number one fighter in the sport.

I like the move, I also think he will handle Valdez fairly easily (my guess is clear UD but wouldn't be surprised if it was a late round TKO via sustained cuts/punishment). Valdez is a good fighter but the Berchelt win loses some luster as we wonder how shopworn he was that night and the Conceicao fight also leaves some doubt how Oscar will handle Shakur's boxing.

I mean he’s done more than you, a little more well known, and he’s the champ. He kinda deserves more than you.

refreshing to see a young fighter have this attitude as opposed to some of his peers. We got guys like Haney, Ryan Garcia, Teofimo & Tank making financial demands & they haven’t done ANYTHING yet

I've been critical of Stevenson in the past, but I'll give him props for this, I respect that, I respect both for taking this fight and challenging themselves, that's what's boxing and life and general is about, Challenges! You hear that Crawford, Charlo, Andrade... You should take notes....

Yes, although from what I see I don't care too much for Stevenson's persona, I do feel hes doing the right thing here.

"I've been a diamond my whole career. My biggest moments I always step up." Yes , Shakur you really stepped up when you hit defense-less person from behind on the ground and you also hit a woman. You think you are a diamond ? You are just a low class punk !!!!!

Stevenson has a good attitude, speculate to accumulate. You’ve got to take more risks and less money to build a legacy, titles and bigger pay days. I just wish this mentality was the norm with boxers today, there’s not enough 50/50 fights taking place at the elite level.
