Take it to the history section. 90% of the posters here don’t know who Frazier is and probably 99% have never seen him fight.

      1. Ellis was the reigning WBA champion when Frazier fought him.
      2. You can't just discount the Ali fights. They happened, he won the first one, and he arguably deserved the win in the second. The third was a classic too, even though he got stopped.

Joe was a very good HW I wouldn't say atg status but a HOF for sure, Joe fought the best comp of the day, sometimes the resumes can talk, Joe had 32 fights for 27 KOs and his entire resume of opponents had around 130 losses total, Fury has 31 bouts for 22kos and his opponents had over 175 losses, considering Fury is 10 inches taller and 50lbs heavier I say Joe proved to be a very tough rugged HW, I was around in Joes day and overall his comp was better than Furys just better fighters, today the HWs are huge men while in Joe's day they were big men that could really fight, Joe would be a very small HW today. Different times different conditions, in his day Joe Frazier was the real deal.

Joe Frazier did not win the second fight.

This is the first time, I have seen or heard that there was any controversy.

I will have to watch the fight again.

But yes, Frazier beating Muhammad Ali is 'A Top-5 All-time great heavyweight win'.

Norton vs Frazier would of been a great fight stylistically.

How was Foster “washed”? He made like 10 defences of the lineal Light Heavyweight title after the Frazier loss. At least do your research if you’re gonna question an ATG like Smokin’ Joe.

Agreed. Ali won clearly. Joe was never the same after the first Foreman loss IMO.
